I've seen little of him this season that says to me he is at the peak of his powers, i though he was fairly anonymous against a "poor us" last weekend.
A good side knows when to let its good players go, perhaps Warrington are looking to clear the decks.
Short term; a Annakin for Westwood swap (which was what i was commenting about) would be a sideways move for us, long term it would be a significant step backwards - IMO of course!!

| Westwood would be a fantastic signing for us - the guy's an absolute machine and would bring some much needed steel and experience to the side.

| An unlikely move but would certainly beef up our defence were it to be true.

Agree with this. Tony Smith is not daft - if Wire let BW go its because he's not likely to be effective for much longer. Short term I'm sure he would be a quick fix. I don't know where the Anakin bit came from but that would be absolutely idiotic move to include him as part of any future deal. It really would convince me once and for all that there's no point grooming your own players -you may as well pick them off from other club

What swap this?
Don't think Westwood will be going anywhere, he's got another year on his contract and Wire have other players that are retiring or moving on at the end of the season that need sorting, so there's no chance they'd let Westwood go as well imo.

Do you regret signing Ali?
That's the same scenario. Infact, Westwood is still showing far more left in the tank than Ali was doing in his last couple of years at Leeds.
New clubs reignite players. But I would think Westwood is way out of your leage for another couple of years at least.

| Would be nice to have Westwood back home. Lillycrop we should never of let go he was brilliant in the academy last year daft to let him go. We should have gave him a deal then gone dual reg to doncaster.

Course he is dipstick. He was a clear man of steel only last year. Just because writers fornicate over Tomkins, doesn't mean that the reality wasn't that Westwood was MOS.
There is no way on earth that Warrington will let him go for another couple of years.
