I always like the way Mathers steps up his game against Cas, the lads gotta bitter taste in his trap about the treatment got whilst enduring IM. Excellent Mathers, long may it continue.

The way he recovered from the elbow to the face from Chase showed a lot of character & determination & he seemed more determined to show Cas fans his "A" game.
Just one thing if Thaler saw the incident why did`nt he give him a straight red ?

I don't think he saw it, it looked like he got the call from the in goal judge.

I thought the 'attack' was fair - it was stealing the ball after the tackle was completed that was penalised!

Ref clearly signalled a shot with his elbow, suggesting should have been much more than a penalty.

Should have at least been on report...though I was only 10 metres away from the incident and I couldn't see what actually occurred.

The torchlights of Wheldon Rd certainly didn't help. I have played on better illuminated amateur grounds.
