| Poore's display yesterday was just what the Dr ordered - he did the dirty work of an old-fashioned prop forward and really bossed it up the middle; it was good to watch.

| Just shows that players need to be given time to prove themselves. Thought all the pack stood up and were counted last night and whilst not perfect it was a very large step in the right direction. Well done boys.

| Quote: The Clan "What a difference a year makes!
In the corresponding fixture of last year, HKR used their pack to bully their way to victory, Micky Paea and Con Mika in particular.
Last night Justin Poore won just about every collision he entered and brutally shifted the first defender almost everytime he carried the ball.
The extra size and conditioning gained over 12 months by Amor, Raleigh and Wilkes has significantly altered the dynamics of our pack in relation to other Superleague clubs.
In contrast to last years game, we bullied HKR last night rendering Mika aand Paea almost impotent by comparison.'"
Twice he got turned on the floor, the rest of the time he landed on his front, not something that comes easy after so many minutes on the field.
Big effort.

| A very good shift by all the forwards last night who were well up for it and I liked what I saw in Poore. What a differance a few days make and they certainly had fire in the belly.

| Nice chap as well, he spent ages after the match having photos taken with kids in front of the western terrace.

| Got to say 'Fil' that your two second cameo on live coverage was exceptional. Along with young Tetley and wives, the coordinated arm raise, pointed finger, and trinity chant was indeed sublime. You made me feel proud.
Noticed big bro did not participate - shame on him !!!
......................and yes I agree, that big number 8 is looking good.

| Played really well last night, as did pretty much everyone in red, white and blue.
Kirmond and Poore were probably the stand outs with Charlie being his usual effervescent self.
As bad as we were, Wakefield really stuck it to us down the middle.
Well done.

| i was one of those people who criticised poore last week and no way do i feel silly for that, i agree i thought he was great last night but in my opinion it was nothing to do with an extra weeks fitness or settling in , along with a few others it was to do with attitude

| I thought he was great. The speed he hit the line was frightening.
I do think he still has more improvement in fitness ahead of him so even better to come I think.

| Yep, thought he was good and you could see we werent as stong up the middle when he left the field, 15 mins or so before half time.
On another note, i never really noticed last week, but how big is Amor? Looks like he has put a stone on, which is all good unless your gonna fly 3ft up in the air and land on your face! He was regularly making 5 or 6 more yards after contact.
At the game, i had Smith as mom, after watching it back i wouldnt have been surprised if at had gone to 1 of about 8.
Our back 3 were absolutely outstanding, Poore, Raleigh & Amor kept us going forward and the one i didnt really notice at the game but was definately up there was Collis.

| Mathers was outstanding.
Joining in the attacking line , firing out telling passes , and continuing the go forward initiated by Fox and Ben.

| Poore had a great game but Andy Raleigh was outstanding. I think he was deserving of the club MOM and must have been close to the Sky MOM had it not been for Ben's hat-trick.
Collis looked classy on Saturday. You could tell he had it last season but needed that first season to bed in. I think he could be a revelation this season.

| Totally different kind of prop to Poore, but Raleigh is a class act; he takes the tough carries and is a real specialist in the collision - he's very rarely dominated and when defending, controls the tackled player really well. A brilliant signing for us and in my view, one of the most reliable forwards in SL.
