It looks like they will but not with us, most likely Doncaster bound.

| Quote Trojan Horse="Trojan Horse"Kirke would be a good addition to 2013. Him and another robust prop/forward would see us looking in good shape.
Just full back to sort then, I'd look to see if hudds would let Murphy go if we cant agree with mathers.'"
According to Casforum Mathers is a wakey player for next season, was said at the meeting they had tonight

| If it's dual Reg then that's fine - they are still available for first team duties. I also think that the dual Reg contracts clubs are allowed are being increased also.
Best thing for cowling who will hopefully build on his debut with a few more first team showings in 2013. If any i think Walshaw may be the player to figure more prominently if he has a big pre-season.
As for mathers, if he is at wakey then I'm sure he will do a good job for us next year.

Like to see him get a few games in the 1st team next season, ala Trout this season, perhaps on the wing to start with. Don't think he's ready to go straight into 1st choice full back but then again we don't know until he gets a game.

Would be a strange move if true. Don't think he is as good as Ellis personally.

| Bet Cas fans are delighted with the way the club handled Mathers - stuck him on a big wage, paid a decent part of them so that he could play for us and score a couple of tries against them before finally having to pay him off to come and join us for free permanantly.
Meanwhile we're laughing all the way to the bank!
I'm really pleased Mathers is staying, think he's a good head to have about the place and has had a good season for the most part.

Apparently at the Cas meeting on Tuesday, when asked Ferres said he would be a Wakey player next season.
That doesn't mean that he has signed on the dotted line yet but, its certainly a cleasr indication of what's likely.

Only thing that was stopping it was the negotiations over his pay off from Cas. Sounds like this has now been agreed so i'd expect an announcement soon.

| You'd get a quality player if you got McShane!
Played probably the major part in turning our season around, distribution is as good as I have seen and consistent. He has a clever kicking game which is a big plus, defends well and is a constant nuisance working around the ruck constantly. Still at a great age too.
Ok I haven't seen a lot of Ellis this season for you and do rate him rather highly but I'd say McShane is definitely the more rounded hooker and has a lot of potential in him still. I'd be a bit gutted if he left Leeds and we didn't get him back at Widnes tbh.

| Ellis was deemed surplus to requirements as he was 3rd choice hooker. Aiton is a class above and Wood is an impact hooker so I think we can rule out a move for McShane. I'd be bitterly disappointed if we swapped Ellis for McShane

| The only reason I could see McShane coming here after Ellis has left is that he's cheaper. As a player I rate him, very good passing game, good defense and a decent kicker as well, better player than Wood for me.
