It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

| So many contenders this year, maybe the most open field ever! We voted for Washbrook.
In light of so many committed performances I don't think I could argue with any of the nominees getting the award.

| Smith for me. Has given us that level of real class and creativity. Followed by Kirmond, Raleigh, Amor and Washy.

| Washbrook but would probably have been Aiton had he been fit for the last 6 games.
Special mentions for a whole host of other players too

| So difficult to pick one so I shall have to summarise:
Tim Smith - shaky start to the season but has certainly been superb in recent weeks.
Ali Laui'ititi - came to our club with a massive reputation and thankfully has delivered.
Paul Sykes - has most definitely solved the goal kicking problems we had at the start of the season.
Paul Aiton - strong, hard-worker before his season was cruelly curtailed.
Danny Washbrook - ever present tackling machine.
Danny Kirmond - assuming the capitaincy was a revelation and he has not looked back since.
Apologies to the rest of the squad, but this is my shortlist.

| Raleigh or Wasbrook for me, been pretty much ever present and do the hard jobs for long minutes.
Kirmond missed a few games but is bloody close.
If Aiton had not got injured i think he could have been a well deserved Man of steel winner.
If Smith and Sykes had been the starting halves and played as well as they have from the start, there's two more candidates.
Also think Cockayne deserves a mention in dispatches for his efforts.
When did we last have so many worthy candidates?????

| Randy Alley or Ben Cockayne , but the whole squad has put in the hard yards over the last few months. A special mention for Andy Ellis, since coming back into the team & making an immediate impact on his return, his slick passing seems to give Tim Smith that little more time on the ball to give us better attacking options

| Hard to believe no ones mentioned Amor yet, been as consistent as anyone this year.
Kirmond for me though, really has upped his game this year & improved massively. He's also done a great job since he became Captain and really led the lads from the front.
Like others have said Aiton would have been right up there if not for his injury, real shame he hasn't been part of this winning run.
Special mention for Tim Smith, he's been a bit of a revelation this year for me. We all knew he had it in him & obviously that's the reason we took a chance & brought him over but he's been great and he's at the heart of all the good things we do in attack. Took some time before his team mates caught up to what he was doing with the ball but we got there.

I was thinking the same thing. Many discussions recently have been about Amor, will we/won't we have him next year when maybe we should have been talking about the achievements of all these others! So often the good and reliable don't get the credit they deserve!

| Got to be Tim Smith without his creativity we wouldn't be where we are now. The stats don't lie.
Kirmond has been great as Captain (try last week by him was fantastic taking on 3 Salford players and brushing them off to the corner to win it!) along with Amor, Raleigh, Lauitiiti & Aiton over the course of the season.
We have a core 17 though that have all played their part and hit some good form at the right part of the season. Wilkes & Amor ran very hard last week.

| I'd vote Kirmond, although my opinion has changed since I emailed in my decision! Been really impressed with so many this season!

Most assists in SL, ahead of Tomkins - impressive.
