Myself & a few others (Bren, DJCool) have mentioned this to AG on twitter & he seems well up for it!
After all the sooner he gets us in the ground the sooner his tills start to ring, which can only be a good thing for WTW's ever growing bank balance!

So if we we're to roll with a grand opening who would you like to see open the stand? Neil Fox? JD? A host of former players coming together to publicly back the upward trend that we're experiencing?

There's such a buzz about WTW at the moment, we need to capitalise on it & not let it slip by like previous decades have done.

5 of us "emigrated" last week.
If we can fill the stand, especially now the roof is complete, it will be rocking.
There could be issues with visiting fans, especially Cas on Friday and the club may well need some additional stewarding, at least until the dust settles.

A public message before hand, on here, twitter, facebook, local presses ect accompanied by some gentle reminders over the PA should do it, especially if we get there early.

Although I can totally see your point, maybe a bit of all the approaches would be best- early advice, PA announcements & extra staff.

If we can get this right it could be a massive step forward for creating the "Kop" for NM & would add a lot more atmosphere to BV, which at times was stale last year- but that had as much to do with Kear as it did with a lack of roofing!

Great idea that and perhaps the only way to ensure it's ours for the Cas game! Open early for Wakey fans only!

We should do this. If its full of cas fans its going to give them the advantage. Claim it as ours.

We are opening a new bar at the North Stand - so next Friday can we not say that only season ticket holders can get into the ground from 6.00 until 6.45. This way we will guarantee at least a fair few thousand to fill the North Stand before any away fans can even enter the ground.

It wont matter that we're going in too early as the bar will be open and no doubt we will have a good laugh amongst ourselves in the build up to the match.

Its absolutely criminal if after all this hard work and money we, as a club, allow away fans to come in and utilise the North Stand and the massive atmosphere it will create. With a few thousand vocal Wakefield fans under the roof the noise will be worth at least 1 extra man on the field ! WE CANT LET IT HAPPEN !!

THIS CITY IS OURS AND SO IS THE NORTH STAND !!

Maybe members only until an agreed time. And to help tempt people down make it happy hour on beer AND food from the outlets. Get people having their pre-match drinks and their tea there rather than prior to turning up before it gets filled up with away fans. Get them spending earlier and fill the new stand as well. Winner!
