Excellent news. Looks like the best signing for a long while. Looking at Bradford in their glory days, they were enormous and the most physically dominant side in SL. Can't wait for the new season now.

I'm delighted with this appointment however with such an impressive CV why was he plying his trade at Barrow ( no offence to Barrow) I would have thought that he would have been in great demand from a SL side

I think you're forgetting something here. Barrow or their Chairman were throwing cash around a few years back if you recall, Rooney and Cadic amongst others. They were looking a very ambitious side for a while so no surprise they employed a SL standard conditioner.

Garry Schofield took him to Barrow.

Comes here with a clean slate as far as i am concerned. Pal of mine is a dulls fan and he says of Clawson that we will come out on fire fit as the preverbial butchers dog but will tire towards the end of the season. Hopefully he has learned from his Dull days !

Could i ask why so many of you are saying the best signing so far????? why is bigger better? yes when bradford were challenaging for the title and c cup they were a massive side,but that was 5-6 yrs ago superleague improves year in year! and i cant say either wigan saints or warrington who have now become the dominate teams are that big as players! it all all about lean muscle mass and aerobic fitnes nowadays!.
Our problem over the last couple of season as been doing too much defending which takes alot more energy out of the players fittness than attacking with the ball.
