How does one go about getting people to 'second' their nomination if they don't know anyone else who's a member?

1 Phil and Sue are part of it but both will probably stand down to allow a fairly elected board.

Nothing connected to this club can ever be simple can it! (Well it can, but won't turn out that way.) I hope the board is full of completely new blood, no connections to the past.

If you wish to stand I'm sure we can find a proposer and seconder.

I hope the board is the best that it can be with the best people - old and new - but where are the new ones?

They will never come Phil I'm afraid, too easy to sit back and let others do it, you are a saint in my book for the crap you have taken and yet still volunteer for everything going, for me you should have been Clubman of the year every year since I can remember including 2004.

I think some people are being a bit hard on themselves and their colleagues.

Although most of the acting board on the trust are known on here, there are a few who have no previous form at all. The committee is made of intelligent, articulate and professional people who have done a sterling job in getting to this point. From here, and following the elections, the Trust will have a mandate to start to get involved a little bit deeper on behalf of the fans, and that could be interesting. On that basis, if the current incumbents were to be the ones in position, then I for one would be very happy.

For my part, I will continue with swag and liaising with the Trust, but I am keeping options open as to the Trust itself. One thing for sure, whether people realise it now or not, this MUST NOT FAIL. If only we'd started one year earlier!

Fraid I haven't the time to get involved with something like this due to full time job and family commitments. Joined the trust at the first meeting and have faith in the people on the committee as it stands.
