No can't see this at all. Like some-one said previously it would have leaked out before now. As for BJ..most of the time he played like a lemon for us, perhaps the player just wanted to move on and there's no point keeping a player that doesn't want to be here. I'm hoping AG is keeping things close to his chest until Tuesday and then will do what ever is needed and possible once the announcements are made.

Not chance al. The staff were working hours upon hours in order to get our application the best it could possibly be. Why on earth would ag and je have their staff working overtime, paying inflated wages if there was no goal at the end of it? I know for a fact the staff of our club have done everything they can in order for us to remain in the top flight, that it is the ultimate aim. If we fail all is not lost, plans are firmly in place for the outcome either way whereas with the old regime we would have probably only had one plan (all teds eggs were in one basket with nm). I honestly believe we have a bright future ahead of us I also really hope thus future isn't delayed for three years and if the system is applied correctly and fairly it won't be. As I've said let's not lambast the rfl before the decision is announced it doesn't help the profile of our club, it doesn't help the club full stop and it certainly won't help say the rfls decision.

Starting to wonder if any of the dreamers actually read the admin report, we were 1.9 million in debt ffs!

Now a quick guess from me is that would be in the main within 3 years, so lets say 650k per year for a laugh, thats 32,500 full paying adults per season EXTRA, say 14 rounds = 2300 extra through gate every bloody week.

Its not happening, or at least soon, so its poor lowly paid players or bankrupcy in SL.

Just one serious question, where is the money coming from to make us susrtainable and competative??

Or more income from sponsorship, commercial, merchandise, food and beverages matchday income, additional external income......
The things we did badly or not at all are all cash generators, get these right and we will soon be on the up.

He's spending a lot of dough here and he ain't doing it to welcome Keighley to BV. If he has other nepahrious reasons, I would be flabbergasted...this is Wakey I suppose, but I just can't see it. I think his intentions all appear decent

I think its an interesting question. As a counter argument you could say that it was pointless doing anything more than cosmetic changes to the ground given we don't own it and at this stage any major improvements could be money wasted if we didn't get a franchise.

The Commercial side is much better and is clearly going to be making more money than previously.

On the playing side, again it is difficult to get players in and whilst I think we should have kept Jeffries there is nothing to say him remaining would have made us win any more games than we already have (although when he was on form we may have had more of an attacking threat).

As Chapster has said we need to be moving to a more self-sufficient business plan, cos Glover aint got millions to be pouring into Wakey and if scrimping a bit this season enables us to mainatin more of our infrastructure outside of SL (particulalry community and youth development) then it will have been worth it.

should we gain a license, we should get Cadbury's to give the RFL (one person in particular) a year's supply of chocolate. just a thought.
