I heard a radio interview with Warren Jowett and he was complaining about the lack of facilities ie no dugouts, no turnstiles etc but he also stated that they had a bar but not a very big one


I don't know what kind of school it is, but the one I went to didn't have a bar - not even on the windows

Ken Davy has been the Giants chairman since 1996, HTFC were about to go out of business until Ken stepped in and bought them at the last minute (2003) as no other offers were recieved for the club !!, by doing this he basically saved the Galpharm Stadium as at the time the Giants alone couldn't afford the rent /upkeep of the stadium on there own.

So if it wasn't for Ken Davy the Giants might have not been around not Huddersfield town as per previous poster..?

Do you honestly think that Davy saved HTAFC,....Town were having problems financially ,so they say,Giants didn't contribute one iota to the running costs of the galpharm and never will with there poor support .

have you looked how much it costs to fund a football team in comparison to a Superleague team even a Division one team still will cost far more money to run.

Town were on the verge of bankruptcy and about to go under thats why Ken bought them , without him they would have gone !

Nope, probably not!! Ken bought us out when we were heading into Admin for the 3rd time in 10 years ..........HTFC were doing ok back then as far as i am aware

Where do you think money comes from to fund ,pay wages etc for SL side also stadium running costs,not from 5000 bums on seats,it comes from Towns gates.

does it heck , the 2 clubs are run as, always have and always will be run as seperate companies. if either was dipping into the others pockets i'm sure the IR and the sports' govering bodies would have said something by now............oh and by the way were upto 8000+ gates now !!

And Towns gates aren't that much higher these days.....they may announce crowds 'much' higher but thats becasue they count season tickets in every crowd regardless of whether there actually at the game !

I don't see the issue of moving a few games while the pitch is being done, as a previous poster said they can't do it in winter and it should give Halifax some revenue. As for sharing grounds with town its the only way that teams can survive in this day and age.
