It's a strange one. At the start of the season you'd have played him even if he had one leg. However the prop crisis seems to have healed itself and now I suspect if we could buy again we wouldn't go for a forward, or if we did it would be one more in the Solomona mode. With King, Amor, Higgins, Johnson and Korkidas all available and playing OK it's hard to know who to drop. That said its a very attritional position so I don't suppose you can ever have too many props.

I'd play him. I know he's not match fit and there is a difference. But he did play NRL last year and as a pro should have maintained his fitness and of course he is blinking huge. So I don't see why he couldn't play two 20 minute spells in the SL straight away. Give us something to interested about.

I wouldnt play him because it wouldnt fair on the other players! somebody who has just arrived in the country, not played this year gets a place in the team ahead of you when you havent done anything wrong, how would you feel?

I'd give it a week - he only played 5 games last season and although he is said to have been off in some MMA boot camp for some months getting ultra-fit, that remains to be seen.

He needs to find his feet, learn our plays and have some understanding of what JK expects from him before he plays in a SL game.

It shouldnt take him long to learn our calls. 5 drives for a kick, job done!

Flashy expansive rugby can only be played off the back of hard work in the form of one out rugby in the forwards. Never understood the critisism of setting up position in the forwards. Origin has loads of one of the ruck rugby but that has loads of good flowing expansive stuff off the back of it. Hickey will hopefully give us more punch and go forward in this area.

Just looking at the reserve fixtures we don't have a game this weekend, then its Salford away as a pre match game.
After that there is no reserve game before the first week in July ! So it may well be that he has to go straight into the first team

The academy are playing tomorrow night against Leeds. Not sure what the rules are for over-aged players in that comp though?
