No issue with him looking out for his future, but it's certainly going to be harder to recruit and retain players when the coach is apparently looking to jump ship.

Jump ship is very different from kear moving on after his contract Is up.

If he is going to go at the end of the season when his contract is up then that is fair enough. He has done a very good job for us and although i would like him to stay because i think he is the best coach available to the club, if he does leave at the end of the season it would be with my best wishes.

Fair enough. Jump ship were wrong choice of words. But the point remains. How can Kear ask a player to come to Trinity when he's looking to move on? He has no faith the club are going to get a license so why should any potential player. Just a shame this didn't come out after the license decision.

Mine also however I would hope that he doesn't take anything until franchise decision time. That said if we have full cap next year then that would open up coaching options.

See your point. If he is looking at options fair enough but I would hope that nothing is announced or signed until franchise time.

The team need to remain 100% focused as looking at fixtures and the table a couple of wins and we could be knocking on the door of playoffs and quarters of challenge cup. It's a key time right now for how this season will pan out.
