At the age quoted, this lad sounds ready for first team football. The truth is that most of our rising stars are not - yet, and it will take a year or two to get there. I fully understand the reasons why folk would not be as keen on this signing, but let's get some facts before we condemn!

Not condemning!! Merely pointing out that as a progresive club we should be promoting and producing, where that is not possible, and without being overly aware of either player, James would for us, be a better long term prospect, and be a progression of English talent and the English set up in general. That should be a primary concern.
Don't condemn those who don't share your opinion!!  |

Trinity still have Stosic's non fed space available. This guy must have the necessary documentation to ensure he qualify's as a non fed, something Stosic didn't. |

Agreed, but we can't make silk purses out of every sows ear - not that I'm saying that James is a sows ear - well maybe I am.... What I'm trying to say is that if our Football Committee don't think James is good enough quality, nor that he will be, then we shouldn't sign him just because he's available. I know that will not be the case as cash is in short supply and we will only spend it where we think it's worth it - that can sometimes lead to decent English players going elsewhere - e.g. Wilkes - there's no way we would have been right to try and match the deal he got at 'Quins!  |

American Samoan to be precise, but if he has gone from being playing NRL matches with St George/Illawarra and Canterbury to the Newtown Jets, something tells me thanks, but no thanks. |
