Billy is still SWMBO's favourite Trinity player after all these years !!!

Update on fund raising evenings for Billy.

9th October Auction night at Billys local Normanton and Altofts Comrades Athletic Club, Ash Gap Lane Normanton. Also a race night at Normanton Rugby Club at thne back end of October date yet to be officially set.

Heard Billy is being moved to LGI tomorrow and has had his damaged eye removed and a glass one in its place. Best wishes to Billy.

Tragic news yet again!! One of my lasting memories of Billy was when he squared up to man mountain Kurt Sorenson against Widnes .The size difference didn,t bother him at all- He was that brave! Best of luck Billy lad!

First time poster but thought someone should dispel rumours. Billy has not had his eye removed though he is still to possibly undergo further surgery at St. James hospital on his return from Exeter where the accident happened.He is on his way home now and goes into St. James tomorrow . There will be a bucket collection at Normantons first team game at home tomorrow ko 2.30 and all raffle takings from junior fixtures played this weekend will be donated to Billy and his family. The race night has been put back to sat 31st oct though the auction at the comrades will go ahead as planned on fri 9th oct. Everyone is welcome .

Just spoke to Billy,he's been to hospital this morning,got one of the country's best surgeons operating on his eye on tuesday in the hope that the eye can be saved,if not the eye will be taken out and replaced with a "marble",apparently this is to make sure the other eye is not affected.He expects to be in three or four days.
He seems perky enough bless him.
