I'd be a bit peeved if Wilkes was to leave. Assuming what we've offered him is reasonable, we gave him a SL lifeline when others doubted it and, on the pitch he looks consistently committed and after it he is one of the more forthcoming in reciprocating appreciation from the fans.

Welcome to the new world of SL. Never been one to fall for all that loyalty guff. However the new breed of full time agent sell there product like so many tons of pig iron. They tout them all over the place and then play a game of Russian roulette with the last club standing getting their man.

It's quite simple, clubs refuse to deal with agents who are touting a player to the highest bidder. Of course it won't happen because the majority of club chairman are cut from the same cloth.

Can you imagine Wigan joining a club cartel, I'd give it 24 hours before they broke, they just couldn't help themselves
