You cannot say we will or we won’t as it would be a completely different squad that would need to be judged on its own merits should we be relegated.

But we won’t have this team in the championship and hopefully with the core players and actually players that want to play for the shirt we will be at least competitive unlike we are at present in super league

It may be a completely different squad but put together by the same board with unchanged principles of business. The reduced revenue will automatically impact the squad we put together. We are not even sure we will be full time, so within one season we could be back to square one albeit with a nice stand, grass and lights.

Mc is stepping aside and no one knows what the new incumbent will put in place going forwards when he gets in the hot seat in a month or so’s time . At this point it’s only speculation, and personally I’d rather wait and see what plans he has for driving us forwards before commenting

I believe he did state that he could stay until the end of the year by which time you would hope that the squad would be complete and back in training so yes it could be entirely true.

I wasn't making a literal statement, it was based upon Sheffield being super organised and energetic, showing that they have been able to articulate a training ground structure on to the match day field.
