| Can't quite make my mind up on this one, because in one sense it is contradictory.
The disappointment about Sunday was because we had played so well in the previous three games. So we are playing well this year. The disappointment about Bradford was because our team had looked promising against Salford.
So out of the games so far, we had played well and lost against two sides thought to be better than ours (one of which is still unbeaten), and had played well and won against two poor sides (one of which has now shown itself to be a decent side).
So on the season as a whole, our form has been good. The frustration is that of the two games when we have been rubbish, Bradford and Hull KR, they have been games that are crucial to our survival.

| The youth set up is THE most vital area of the club, especially our club because we don't have the money to buy in top class players. As a sport we can't compete with RUs money and we can't lure the best or even second best Players from down under anymore. The only way forward is to grow your own and in that regard Agar is light years beyond Kear who simply wasn't interested in anything below the SL team. As a result the whole structure of youth development was destroyed and but for Tony Drury and his GF Winning Academy the club was a laughing stock. Agars been nothing but supportive of the structures below his first team and is a big advocate of creating a pathway through for the young ones.
Be careful what you wish for is all I'm saying!

another reason why its vital we stay up this season or it will become a luxury that we can't afford

| Told that Agar flogged the first team in training on Monday for that performance so they have had a flogging and Agars had one on the forum.

Yes and what happened against Bradford he rushed Sammut in after been with the club 2 days. Everything good about the Salford game was messed up. Everything good about the last 3 games Agar messed the team up. SAME ERRORS !

Personally I'd rather see the top teams hit us for 50 but be beating the Bradfords and Hull KRs as opposed to us putting in gallant losing performances against the top teams and then be capitulating spectacularly in the more crucial games.

| Don't think we would have had a better chance to beat Saints than other Sunday, unfortunately that didn't happen.
Should have been looking to go to KR and build on that but to disrupt the flow of the team is bonkers.
Needs to prioritise his games better.

Never a truer word mate and its becoming more important every year. Just look at the league table this week. Most of the teams at the top have several players in the first team that have come through their youth set ups and the lower down you go the less home grown are in the team. London probably being the exception. I can see the other side of the argument though for this being a one off situation.

You say that, but with even less troops, they beat Leeds. Surely that shows they were no easy beats.
It was a good chance because we had a good go at them.

I understand your point but with the side we had and home advantage against a side with makeshift halves and half a pack.
We should have beaten them.
Saints are a team with a winners mentality, no matter what team they put out.
We are a team that shows the name too much respect and not the players that we play against.

| I really think this thread has been done to death . I'm as puzzled as anyone by last weekends team selection but those on the park surely had a responsibility to react positively to being picked to play.
RA isn't going anywhere and in my eyes isn't totally to blame in any case for our up and down form. You can only play the cards you have been dealt. The team against St. Helens was ok as far as team selection is concerned and we should have beaten them but I believe some indifferent refereeing stuffed us that day.
I want to see some real teamwork with all the players battling for each other.
I'm convinced the talent is at the club and am pleased with all the imports although I think Ryan is a centre not a second row!

| Ryan is too slow for centre... Played second row for Paramatta.

I agree, the thread has been done to death, but I predict a part 4 next time we lose by more than 10 points to a big club or just lose to a middle table team.
Ryan is effective at centre but he isn't the long term solution.

Not my long term choice or even first choice, just how I see him at the moment. He may be more effective in the second row if he bulks up a bit.
