A point of note, the penalty count was 10-9 to Wire, albeit one of ours was from the kick off. It wasn't as lop-sided as some would think. The refereeing was just dire throughout.

I didn't think Warrington were great, and they did look like a team who'd only played twice and then had a long break, but that isn't to take away how competent we were. A full-on definite improvement and they were rightly applauded at the end.

It wasn't decisive in that way but it negated any good defensive work we did whereas we couldn't take advantage of ours.
Our errors were probably more important in this game rather than penalties.

Any body wanting to see the game should visit the newly refurbished Elephant and Castle for the Rugby Rewind Night every Monday at 7:30. The club send a the dvd of the weekends game everyweek. The landlord is a big rugby fan and will also be showing all sky games.
