| You looked a threat with the ball. Execution wasn't quite there a couple of times & Rovers scrambled well. On another day you could've scored 4 or 5.
Your pack got monstered though. Some long days ahead if you can't stand up better than that.
What's happened to Kirmond? Doesn't seem the same player as last season.

| At the fans forum on Wednesday the players were saying how they were looking up and not down and how they felt that the top 8 was their target. There is part of the problem - they haven't yet figured out that the games they need to turn up for are those against the likes of Bradford and HKR. It's no use losing gallantly to Saints, they are not our competition, if we have no energy for today.
HKR were pumped, industrious and determined. They gave us a lesson in teamwork and effort and won almost every single ruck in both attack and defence. We are relegation material based on that showing.
So what now? Leeds in the cup is now just a distraction we don't need. Leeds away in the League is a no hoper, then it's Cas at home. What we do between now and then should have everything to do with that game and if anything comes inbetween it should be considered a bonus.
Bad day!

| If this lot think they are top eight material then they are deluded. Serious question, who are we supposedly better than of the teams above us? None that i can see, and most of those sides seem well coached. Below us Catalans are starting to pick up form and will climb the table, London are gone. So its us and Bradford for the other place. Their deduction might just save us but i expect them to bring some players in now the ownership is sorted which will strengthen them. Concentrate on the task in hand which is staying up, talk of anything else is fantasy land stuff.

| Quote: bren2k "On another note - it seems it's open season on Wakey players this year; this week, we had one dumped on his head and one tackled around the face at speed - neither player was even spoken to.
Meanwhile, Harry Secombe chops at a players arm to get him off his shirt, and gets a stern talking to from Mr Bentham.
Do what you like to Wakey players it seems - the officials will not protect us from dangerous or foul play.'"
You won the penalty count 8-3, the headshot was penalised and the other incident resulted in Burns going on report. Neither looked particularly bad from where I was stood.

| To achieve the top 8 you have to beat the teams immediately around you which we've managed only twice. Need to concentrate on the job in hand which is avoiding the bottom 2. Forget the top 8!

| Thank goodness for the Australian imports. They certainly showed the inferior club trained players how it's done. Oh and thank goodness for Washbrook's excellent defence. It really does offset the fact he offers nothing offensively.

On that note we won the penalty count 8-3. Shows just how poor we were.

We're they kickable penalties? We could have given them a game if so?

Bentham was the only one in the ground that didn't see it and it was right in front of him. I'm confused about the 'on report', I thought it was there for if the ref was unsure what happened. How could he be unsure about that.
PS, no sour grapes, both sides got what they deserved.

| We lost something we have done on many occasions with similar performances. I just want to check is this the same Mathers you wanted to be dropped and sold who you are now saying why didn't he play. I regret that some of you need to stop beating the same drum, we have a bad game, Agar out along with those considered to be at fault. If we had followed some suggestions on here I believe we would have 75% of the current squad on loan.
I guess I can find your duplicates on every clubs forum site. We are not going to win every game but pardon the cliche but the season is a marathon not a sprint.

As far as I'm concerned Mathers is our only fullback and I certainly wouldn't have dropped him. Tautau has been dynamic at LF, how Washbrook came back to that position is baffling! I just don't understand the reasoning behind experimenting against a team that I felt could be beaten. No disrespect to HKR they obviously played us off the park!
We need so me of what Powell has instilled in his Cas team, starting with sensible team selection, playing as a team - working for each other and playing for the badge on the shirt!

That's great - so once again, the team that you play next will reap the benefit.
Refereeing this season is as bad as I can remember it in the SL era; neither side were square at the ptb all afternoon and the 10 metres was very much a moveable feast.
Very poor indeed.

| No sour grapes in regards HKR winning the game, they were the better team by some margin. I'm baffled and disappointed in my teams lack of effort and it's coaches selections which defy logic.
The ref is a different issue, h was just crap, crap for teams. As has been said he marked a poor 10 and didn't really police it, he allowed both teams markers not to stand square, Wakefield won the penalty count but the on report system means we get no benefit from Burns upcoming ban, while HKR benefited from a number f 50/50 decisions and an amazing amount of 'back to one' on the tackle counts.
