| Quote: Catwoman1 "Why have Waystone not funded the latest Glasshoughton plans?'"
Because Waystones funds for the project are going elsewhere, and Cas wanted to put some money in (to date most of the work has been done by Waystone) and as far as I can tell, RW wanted some input on who the architect was and how the plans would look in the end.
Waystone also haven't been involved with the plans for any of the developments so far (from memory), Xscapes design was by the company that owns that building, same for J32.
Quote: Catwoman1 " the plans for Newmarket have cost Wakefield Trinity/Community Trust nothing, they have been paid for by Yorkcourt.'"
Are Wakefield putting anything into the Newmarket development though? Glasshoughton is Castleford project in conjunction with Waystone.
As for being one of the main movers & shakers, not really just in legal, hence the contracts.

| Yes Wakefield Trinity are putting money in towards the stadium. The architects were appointed right at the start and and have worked closely with Yorkcourt.
Seems to me under the circumstances the very large sum of money paid by Cas for the plans would have been far better utilized going towards the cost of the stadium.

As said in the article posted by myself and Fully, the money is there, so it doesn't hurt the club wanted to contribute in other ways too, like the designs.

Gaslight - a polite question.
Why have you made it your vocation in life to try and convince those who are utterly unconvinced about the Cas scheme and your assertions that you are correct and everyone else is wrong? I'm not saying that you are either right or wrong, I just don't understand the one-man tirade on here - especially as, with you being involved in the process, it would surely be more prudent for you to remain schtum!
By all means, having tried your best to tell us what you believe to be true, come back and tell how you tried to warn us - when it happens. In the meantime, can I respectfully suggest that, in order to prevent some of our readers dying a death of boredom (not just your posts, but those of the people replying) that you try and keep your peace for a while - I can assure you that nothing positive is being created by keeping the same arguements rolling over and over.
As a note, I have done exactly the same with regard to NM and the Cas board - whatever I know or don't know is of no interest to the Cas fans and I certainly couldn't convince any of them that what I say is true.
ATEOTD - What will be, will be!

Well from judging from your posts on here you naively hang on his every word. I suspect you believe what you want to believe. But having said that I have to remember your well connected so you should know! Rember all last year with your consistent claims about the Oct 2009 start date (you where in the know then!)

I know well enough what accusing a named individual of criminally fraudulent business practices amounts to.

| Some Cas fans seem to think that NM has no chance of being started let alone finished by 2012 and even if it is that they would still get a licence ahead of us for the following reasons :
1) They get bigger crowds
2) contribution to the competition
3) We are skint (and maybe going bust)
My views are 1) we have in theory greater scope than Cas to increase our crowds with a new ground (well if it is given as a reason for the expansion area clubs and Salford its good enough for us!!!) and at present their average is only a few hundred ahead of ours and we have been garbage for the majority of the last few months.
2) Depends what positions the respective teams end up in at the end of this season and how contribution to the competition is measured. If they end up in the play-offs again, then that might be deemed they have made a greater contribution then us by doing so, however if it is done on average league position, then it brings it alot closer
3) This is obviously a concern, as alot of the things the club have done over the course of the season tend to indicate this being the case. Cas seem to have a significant sponsorship deal in the bag which is due to be announced in Sept. I suspect we need to find an injection of cash from somewhere (although not sure how we can achieve that in the current climate and the clubs present position - maybe if the stadium gets the nod, we will be in a stronger position to attract additional investment)
I know that some people don't want to get involved in a "who offers the best application" discussion/contest, but I think we have to accept that one or both us/Cas is going to be demoted, so we need to consider the merits of the respective clubs arguments on this point.
Anybody else got any views on this.

On the Cas-v-Wakey demotion, if all things were equal, I would think we would have a slightly better shout as Wakefield is a bigger place and so more potential.
My suspicion is that fate might deal a hand here in other quarters. The Crusaders people said that their intentions with the club were to create more money for the Wrexham football club. If the crowds keep dropping off, they won't make any money, and so may jump ship pretty rapidly.

| My thoughts are is that there is the infrastructure for a ready made RU club in N Wales. just waiting for the RFU to throw money at them.

but that potential has not been realised since the early seventies, couple that with years of almost going out of business, selling and getting the ground given back several times and the latest episode with the taxman, trinity are the business model the RFL want in Superleague, come on slugger youre even getting Newmarket given and so will continue to survive by scrounging.
Even the most ardent trin supporter cat deny those facts
That said I hope we both stay ao go together. Superleague cant buy days like the derby days, if they could then we would have been gone some time ago, they need both of us more than we need them

| How is Newmarket being "given" to us?
The Community Trust will be charging us rent, how is that even similar being given anything?
FWIW lets not complicate matters about "begging" with the fact RW has been behind our backs to ask for increased council funding at the expense of Newmarket. But hey when do facts matter with relation to Richard Wright and Castleford Tigers.
As I have stated before; if my theory comes to fruition and you do come "begging" to join Newmarket if it were up to me I would happily close the door and watch your club crumble, derby day and all!
And as for letting RL even enter the professional sphere of my life..... Didn't you know preaching rugby based hatred is now compulsory up to age 16 under the new national curriculum, new labour slipped in with the new standards (S16 i think) before being booted out... Cretin.

Making a false accusation about the integrity of a chairman are we? or making a false accusation about both the council and a chairman?
That could land you in some trouble, also if you cared to READ THE ARTICLE posted yesterday by both myself and Fully, you would see THE FUNDING IS THERE.

| Is this still going on? The proof will be in the pudding for both parties. We could sit here until the cock's crow and argue about what is happening with both but neither will believe it until there's a sign saying "Stadium" on the roadsigns.

| This is a public warning - aimed at 2 in particular!
Do not start name calling on here - we will not sit back and watch - we will revoke posting abilities.
And now you have ended this thread - don't even think about taking it up on another.
