Got told 12 months ago that it will be ground share but i was told it would be Glasshoughton not stanley not sure now where will happen but i feel both Council and RLF are playing Cas and Wakie of against each other knowing that neither will wont to share and both new grounds will fail.
And by the way Wakie are know where near the funding they saying they are same has Cas.

If ground sharing means we can stay in the top flight im all for it, and if it gets down to the wire, i wouldnt be totally against the glasshoughton venture  . Its stay in SL or nothing for me.
I would follow them in NL but how long they'd exist there i darent to think. |

A lot has changed in 12 months, the Thornes Park proposal was still on the cards back then so with what the council knew it’s no surprise that whispers came out proclaiming Glasshoughton as the more viable project. |

If that were true they are both wasting a lot of money on the designs and PR etc.
I have some pretty good contacts (only friends who are close to board members on both sides) and both parties say they are pretty keen on their own ground. Cas especially as that contact has business interests in the new stadium so should know more.
So I'm not saying it won't happen as in present climate it could still be a good idea....but I'm pretty sure no one is planning for it now and def not a year ago!
As for the funding.....no one else in Britain is getting the funding they thought they were getting a year ago either. No one has the money any more. |
