You’re probably right but if any club deserves it then Hudds do, what goes around comes around. On this one I’m delighted for Leeds.

People forget that he's only 24 (just turned), he's a completely different player to what he was 2 or 3 years back. You also won't find too many players with over 120+ Super League games under their belt and an International call up at that age.

When I think of Leeming I just recollect him being one of the main perpetrators of the cheating around the play the ball, now outlawed. He generally comes across as a cheap little ****house. Was ideally suited for Shudds but I'm sure Leeds will hone these attributes even further.

Quote: musson "I’m pretty sure it goes like this

We can have 7 non federation trained players

Of which 3 can be Aussies the other 4 can be anything else
Kiwi / Tongan / Samoan etc

There are so many caveats though it’s become confusing'"

Nearly right, you're allowed 5 of the 7 to be from Aus or NZ.

Heere's a straight forward guide.

Each club is entitled to five Overseas Players.
An additional rule for Super League clubs is that they can have no more than seven Non-Federation trained players.

What does Overseas and Non-Federation trained mean?

An Overseas Player is someone who does not hold a European passport or is not a national from a Kolpak Nation (Fiji, Tonga, Samoa & Papua New Guinea). More often than not, they will be from Australia or New Zealand.

A Non-Federation trained player is a player who was not trained by an RLEF (Rugby League European Federation) member club for three years before the age of 21.

Quote: musson "Surprised hudds have let him go
He’s a talent for sure,
Feels like the shudds ship is sinking to me,
Ceaser is trying to get another deal in aus too'"

It was Leeming that wanted to go, so wether he knew what someone else was going to offer or trying to up his own wages I’m not sure, but like they say “ no one is bigger than the club “

Contracts are pointless these days, if a player wants to go somewhere else he will go.

Same if the club wants someone to leave, they just shove them in the reserves untill they walk out.

I still think we should be using all our quota spots.

Emile Heskey got 150 first team appearances and 29 call ups for England's youth teams by the age of 22.

Perhaps you'd like to send Michael the funds to be able to do that then, along with the names of players who are available, would improve the team, would want to come to Trinity and are going to settle into life and the team in Wakefield. All fairly simple stuff I'd have thought. icon_iamwithstupid.gif icon_iamwithstupid.gif

Ok well that’s one player, from a different sport but go on.

Haha yeah all easy stuff Fordy. Some just don't seem to think how far this club has come from the days of doom and gloom in the past.
We have a team which to me, looks extremely competitive (IF we don't have a disastrous injury situation again!)
I really don't think there is an immediate rush to fill two quota spots for the sake of it even if we had the funds.
