yes a good its reason why folk still label players to positions when played there, most players are adaptable to many positions but obviously bias to which side best to play and size of player determines this

James Graham started as a half back, playing there as 16 year old has no relevance to where they'll end up. Kay was told quite early on by Agar he didn't think he'd make in the halves.

Liam requested the chance to play at 9, I assume had he been elsewhere he'd have done the same. Whether he'd have got it who knows but I suspect he might have.

I also have to laugh at your other argument regarding tried and trusted hookers who have played in that role since leaving the womb. Josh Wood was one of those and that worked out well didn't it! I reckon I wouldn't have to dig very deep to find a few others if I trawled back a bit.

No one seems to have mentioned the Elephant in the room regarding not having trinity fans on the East Terrace, and the away fans on the West terrace. How are we able to call away teams for “Forward Pass”.The trinity fans at North and South ends are hardly in a position to call, but to be fair the officials we get ignore our calls anyway.

I'm judging Kay solely on what I've seen on the pitch, and I don't think he's a very good hooker. You've said he's an excellent hooker, but agree he wouldn't get a game there at any other club? He's a decent winger, when he's back that's where we need to play him.

Part of the problem with Hood is that he can't do the full 80 which always means we have to have an option to rotate. Kay gave a good account of himself at 9 and has also provided cover in the backs which makes him a valuable member of the 17 when fit.
I would have liked to see Bowes get more opportunities as he seems both capable and fit enough to play longer minutes.

Thought his passing from dummy half was a bit erratic but his speed from the PTB appeared a real threat…
