Jai Whitbread. The engine this guy has. He’s everywhere, running lines, making great post contact yards and quick plays. Cutting players like leeming down who broke the line and dropping on lost balls. Signing Whitbread was a master stroke. He will be the engine of our pack for years to come I hope.
Morgan Smith was very good too. His footwork was good and his shirt padding to link up to the edges was crisp and gave opportunity. Also poked his nose through a few times. It was like seeing a young Miller.
Atoni was very good too.
Bowes impressed me. Very busy from 9 and I like his style and distribution. Makes some useful runs too. You can tell he’s an out and out 9 and knows the position inside out.'"
I agree with all this.
Those saying we played a weakened Leeds side are right, but we've taken full strength sides to Leeds and lost against their kids before.
The thing I quite liked was the speed of passing down the line. We are always rubbish on Boxing Day with crispness of pass and it's always put down to us not being at that stage of preseason or getting partnerships together. I'm glad Mash sees value in this. |

Watched game on TrinityTV casting to television. Did anyone else have an issue with the sound? I had to turn volume to full to hear it. Never had this before.

I’ve watched the game on Trinity TV tonight, no problems with sound, TC commentary loud and clear, only problem was that bloody drum most of the match  |

Danny after he’s eaten all the pies perhaps. 
I like Bowden but I think he’ll cop flack from those who don’t get the art of propping. He’s not flash. He’s methodical, just runs the ball in hard, quick PTB, back in the line.
You need players like him, grafters, who don’t make mistakes. Unsung for fans but a coaches dream. Good signing imho. |
