| Quote: PopTart "I thought our kicking and chase game was good today.
Obviously a planned tactic to keep French and Field from their long runs. Apart from the one on our line that led to a try they didn't really have any space.
We had a few knocks today. Batch went down late and came off on crutches, hopefully precautionary as he was still walking on it.
Crowther was limping but he walked home so hopefully nothing serious.
Shaul got his thigh/groin strapped up at the end too
Hopefully these are as much about fatigue as anything else as we'll need all three badly for the run un.'"
Shaul didn't have the strapping on, after the game, when he was with his kids on the pitch

Yes because it what Carter who said that they did not know if they had signed elsewhere because they hadn’t asked. I think if they were in discussions they might just consider it something worth knowing or do we just wait until the end of the season and then talk to players out of contract in the hope we can get them cheaper because nobody else wants them. It would be an interesting if poor negotiation tactic but for us more than likely.

| When was the last time Brad Walker played a game, prior to today?
It must be a while, I don't think that he's had a run out in the reserves either, but I may be wrong.

Again, you don't know if this is true, but don't let it spoil your agenda.

He said that ages ago. It doesn't mean we aren't talking to them.

He said it at the last forum which I didn’t think that was too long ago. I hope phe13 can explain why he/she thinks that by stating we don’t know their plans indicates anything but no contract talks because it’s quite vital to avoid wasting their time. Then why would any club not hold negotiations unless either they have no interest in retaining the players or are waiting in the hope of having a stronger hand.

| "We don't know what their plans are" (what the player is thinking/has decided), does not equate to "there are no contract talks."
Until the player (agent), officially informs the club of any decision, it's ongoing.
Players may well have already decided to go elsewhere, but until they state that...

The bit about Crowther walking home - doesn't that sum up our game? Imagine staying that about a Premier League footballer! Well done on the win by the way...

| I didn’t think we stood a chance today… but for some reason I still stayed up into the small hours to listen to the game….
I’m glad I did

Exactly this.
I was the same. Hoping for a decent performance but, unlikely to win and then, with Fifita and Hood missing, I really did fear the worst.
Every one of our forwards lifted their game and were 9/10 or 10/10, with Whitbread something like 13/10, wow.
The defensive stint in the 2nd half was superb, with a restart and penalty, plus repeat set for them but, we kept them out and then went up the other end and scored, brilliant.
Great performance from 1 -17 and a fully deserved and very welcome 2 points GET IN !!!!!

Depends how far away he lives. I don't actually know. He could have been heading for Starbucks.
I get what you are saying but it was sunny and didn't seem unhappy about it.
