Horo had a real Horror that's for sure. Other than that I think the rest can hold their heads up. Hampshire was an ideal sub to have on the bench. I'm sure watching a re run will be a lot more enjoyable than the live event.

A minute or so earlier Horo had taken a belt around the head, stayed down or at least was really slow to play the ball, but got nothing from the ref, dunno who it was, probably Bird if I had to wild guess, but it was worth staying down for.
Soon after was the tackle on Garcia, which on the replay didn't look like much but he stayed down and made a bit of a fuss.
I imagine Horo was a little frustrated and ended up being on the end of a penalty for the Garcia thing, so...yeah, he needs a bit of coaching on control cos these things are gonna happen and we don't want him blowing a gasket and seeing cards....shades of catalan.
I don't think there was anything in the Garcia tackle, Horo made it look worse than it actually was and Garcia made a meal of it but it ain't gonna take a lot more to end up in the dugout for 10, or worse.

Excellent performance considering Catalans brought their A game and we played almost all game without a recognised number 9.

Apart from that, I dunno, there's definitely a lot to be positive about, I think I'm coming around to the idea that we know how to give ourselves a chance in tight games this season which we didn't previously.
The reason the games are tight in the first place is another thing altogether, I kinda feel like the first team we come up against to put a decent 80 mins together, is gonna beat us, but...well, that's 3 from 3 with 2 tight ones, maybe that's the way its gonna be for a few games yet..

Correct, our Ollie got a bad knock in 30th minute and failed HIA, was having a great game too, just how it goes sometimes. Ref did everything to make sure Les Cats won, like let them play out 3 plays in a set whilst my lad lay on the floor with 3 medics round him, then stopped the game after they'd run down the side he would have been defending, also happened twice in the SL game

Yeah, Horo had a stinker but imo he's played well up to this point. Like someone said it may be a case of trying to hard against the team he's just left. Fifita had a very good game, Tupou was excellent as usual, along with Johnstone and Hampshire had an impressive game again.

What can you say, 3 from 3 without really hitting top form, I'll take that. Even though we lost Wood so some reshuffling had to be done, it was a better performance than against Salford. At this part of the season, it's all about trying to win as many games as you can, while hopefully not taking too many injuries and then gradually improving as the season goes on. Leeds have been doing it for years.

Although far tighter than I was hoping/expecting, an excellent 2 points for Trin.
A real tough defensive effort against a determined Catalan side.
Wood going off so early certainly didn't help and we failed to convert a couple of chances but, Catalan were well up for this one.
Superb effort and defence like that is a great attribute, well done boys

Yes Catalan were really fired up and drove it into us strongly. I also think their short kicking game was as good as we will have to face this season and to defend all those drop outs was very encouraging.

Belly will also be pleased we opted for the 2pts in second half when finny was looking to run it. That decision won us the game.

Last year we were losing these tight games. It's good to see we can win them this season, despite not playing particularly well.
