| That's what I though Sacred Cow.
Personally, it's a no from me. I think we have to use our quota spots wisely.
For me, if Tupou does go, then that would leave two available. I would say a quality organising half back, and a good ball handling back rower. Potentially, if Fifita is staying, that is Anderson's replacement sorted, so I would say it would be only Scruton that needs replacing. Kopzcak has been mentioned, along with Cox. Either of these two, I think would be ok

| Cox would be my pick - he's one of them raw-boned, difficult forwards, who always looks up for the rough stuff. I don't know what the stats say, but Kopzcak appears to be less effective.

Cox is ok but i'd personally probably go Kopzcak, he's a quality forward and is also something we lack a lot of which is a leader. I wouldn't be surprised to see him here next year if Salford drop.

| I actually like them both, the way Cox ran through us a few times at Belle Vue earlier this season, in the game we won.
They will both bring size, both similar in size to England.
Kopzak has a lot more super league experience, including playing for Wales, working with Kear, of which he has recently been their captain. This could be a good shout as we need leaders on the field

| I think Kopzcak has Trinity written all over him. We really need a few players with true grit who play to the final whistle win or lose and this lad has it in spades. Not quite international standard and not got a big enough reputation to attract the fancy dan clubs but on the top level for us with the added advantage that for once it's a player with a bit of size rather than the players who normally fill that role who have the heart of a lion but are always "not quite big enough".
Probably end up at Cas.

| How about this as a thought.
We also need a back rower, how about bringing both Cox and Kopzak in, and moving Mika Simon into the back row. I seem to recall him playing there a lot when he first came, and thought he played well there. He would add a bit of size and punch, and maybe not get as battered himself, as he seems to have done in the second half of this season.
Also, I have just read the following on the Love Rugby League website.
Stupid move?
Which NRL player missed a meeting with the Wakefield coach, and knocked back offers with two other Super League clubs, and is now on the hunt for a new club in 2017? This player is trying to a find a way back into Super League, but could find his advances thwarted after burning so many bridges. Such a shame, but some never learn.
Wonder which player it is that they are talking about. Sam Williams maybe, given the sudden U-turn in signing him

| The media touting David Shillington our way......linked with Hull KR previously......33 years of age and recently crocked...
Have to say Kopzcak is a good shout. Seen him a few times this season and always takes some stopping and seems to do lots of encouraging on the field.

If he missed a meeting with chris chester! He must be playing over here on loan from a nrl club! I would say he's playing at salford while his other brothers are playing for south sydney.

| Just seen it on the official Northstanders Facebook page.
David Fifita has confirmed he will be staying in the UK next year, and is hoping to stay at Wakefield.
Fingers and toes crossed

Surely if he was staying put, he would have said so and not just that he was staying in the UK ??
Obviously, everyone would want him to stay at Trin and let's hope that he is still wearing red, white & blue next season, although the comment sounds like maybe he wants a better deal .
