end of the day the previous guys spent money we clearly did not have and in fact used the goodwill of suppliers to pay the wages of the players. Now to pay those suppliers and ensure we have a team for the future drastic measures have to be made . We ALL have to decide ...are we going to give up , do we want a team to follow and are we behind the club . We need to show fellow fans and potential sponsors that the heritage of this great club is worth preserving and we can re build on solid foundations not on fresh air and inflated egos

As I have said before the best thing MC could do is walk away & let the people on here run the club. Now that would be a laugh.

| Absolutely gutted with Aiton leaving, personally my favourite player. A real hard man, winner, powerhouse, tons of effort and makes those yards. Not the smoothest passer of aball from dummy half, but distribution is still pretty good.
Big shoes and presence in (leading from the front type) to replace.
Might as well sell, charlie, poore, kirmond and collis.. clear the books, clean the decks, Had enough..just put me out of misery flog the lot then build again. giving agar time to try and gel a whole new team again.

rlAiton interviewrl
Aiton stressed he had not looked for a move away from Wakefield.
Quote: Theboyem "“I was very happy there,” he said. “I extended my contract straight away.
“Richard Agar brought me to the club and what he did with me was really good.
“He gave me a lot of trust and positive talk. I am leaving him and the boys I’ve become really close to.
“We had some hardships and they brought us quite tight together. That’s why I am sad to leave, but it is not the new management’s fault.
“They have got to look after the club and enable it to survive. Things have to be done and tough calls have to be made.”'"

Three, Obst, Ferguson and Millard. If Trinity went into administration this time they woukd lose the entire squad other than the kids due to the likely demotion to the Championships.

Would have thought a 12 month deal would be more likely.

| Aiton ...he was ok. He hardly set the world on fire. Above average but not much above. I am very surprised Leeds parted with 70k and good business I say, hoping it means we keep players who are more important to our cause. He was in and out. Good games, awful games. Some of his passing at acting half was pedestrian and predictable. He wasn't a patch on Sam. He offered little threat near the line, as opposed to Sam who had defences bricking it when Kear got the best out of him.

| Quote: Trinity Till Death "We have or had youngsters who were brushed aside for others. Singleton for 2/3 games, did we really need Reece Lynn when we had Cowling and Kaye. Molloy for 20 minutes in about 4 games when we have Walshaw, Annakin and Trout.
Heck when Wildie played brilliantly at hooker he was just tossed aside and replaced with Wood. These are now the players we will rely upon. Players deemed not good enough by Kear and Agar, players who should have played a lot more games, players who would have developed and stayed at the club and been a lot further down the line in their development.
I'll keep banging the drum, but we need coaches who believe in their youngsters. But, we must have experienced players alongside them. It's no good having a pack filled with young lads. We need Kirmond, Poore and Raleigh to help bring them on.
It's a fine balancing act, but when we appointed Agar, the most important specification was to bring on and develop our youngsters. Has Wildie, Cowling, Kaye, Trout & Walshaw developed?'"
SPOT ON...I JUST POSTED WE NEED TO KEEP PLAYERS IMPORTANT TO THE CAUSE.. and losing Aiton is no great loss in those terms. The 3 you mention are. Lets go with youth and a backbone like this.
