If you don't like it so much why bother coming on in the first place? Nobody is holding a gun to your head. Just give it a wide berth.

Ownership may be temporary but if the Club goes under there may be no Club so the fans will have nothing. As fans we may feel we "own" the Club but we don't, the only way we can determine its destiny is by supporting those who own it.
Ownership of the Club slipped from the fans when we became Wakefield Trinity RLFC Ltd and its now owned by Spirit of 1873 Ltd. Who will own it in the future, who knows, but it certainly wont be the Fans, not a Super Club anyway.'"
Without an owner the fans don't have a club. Without the fans the owners can't run a club. It works both ways and you can't have one without the other, hence the clubs own strapeline of together we are stronger. But both sides have to be as open and honest as possible to make it work. I'd like to think the supporters trust would be hammering this point home, otherwise what is the point? Despite the falling out on here we all want the same thing, a successful club. Right now it feels as divided as it ever has and that is extremely worrying.
Heres to the future. Fingers crossed its a bright one.

As long as there are fans there will be Wakefield Trinity. Not in Super League, but there will be a club, somehow or somewhere. Ownership doesn't buy the spirit of 1873, even if it may do by name. The fans of this and any other club are more than just paying customers. Paying customers move when they see better offers. As a Wakefield Trinity fan, there is no better offer than Wakefield Trinity.

Sad thing is I probably will, in your 3 types of people we all are part of, why perceived for your group yet the others are not? Is that because your opinion is real and fact and others dont agree? Why not perceived head in the sanders?
Im getting the word "Gump"

What sort of opinion and what views would you like me to express on here? are you suggesting i go out of my way to cause problems and upset the applecart, i stand by what i post and am no stranger to the people at the club and could be brought to task if they felt they needed to.
Like you i have been around here a while and like you i've expressed my support for this club and all things Trin over the years and will continue to do so.
I used my mods badge this morning to remove some swearing from another thread, hopefully i can put it down and not use it again for a while if thats ok.
Its good to talk.

The thing is you havent stated anything, you have simply helped to stir up negativity within those who come on here and then suggested we contact the club for the truth?
Now I have got a long day ahead of me in the real world, out in the fresh air. I will probably have a look back in later tonight when hopefully everyone has decided to grow up about this situation.

I did state something and i asked Bren to make a enquiry if he felt he needed to, don't remember asking you to do so.
You seem to have difficullty understanding that so maybe some fresh air in a real world would help, and maybe an early night.

| Just for the record, bailiffs have been at the club.
I was at the club shop in the stadium in March, and one turned up.
I heard the lady behind the counter say our out, even though both James and Andrews car were in the car park

It makes no difference weather they were in or not, bailiffs turn up with a live high court writ and if nobody is available or makes themselves available they seize assets to the approximate value of the debt.

| I suppose Trinity could've let them seize Vince Mellars and his contract. That would've settled debt or two.

I do wonder about players as assets actually.
I seem to remember from many moons ago, when I studied accountancy (badly) that players weren't regarded as assets on a clubs balance sheet but if they can realise a value there must be something in the contract itself that is of value on a BS.
The value of a club like ours this year with everyone on contract is more than the end of next year when half the team are off contract.
Problem is they are only a value if someone makes a bid, so it is argueable whether they are of any value before that point......and in addition, who could estimate the value.
Any accountants on here who know that?
