Tronc
Morrison
Millard
Jeffries
Stostic
Korkidas – exempt
Demetriou – exempt
Which leave one space open for a quota/non-fed player.

| If Latu signs a new contract, would he not have to apply for a new visa also?
If so, what are the chances of him actually getting one, with his record?
I like Latu as a player but if there's a choice between him and Sam, then i wouldn't have to think about it for very long!
P.S. For the benefit of NGB4C, I'd go for Sam!

And Blanch (if he signs an extension) ? I thought BJ was applying for British Citizenship (when he aspired to play for England/GB), don`t know if he did, or how it would affect his Quota status. Is Morrison Quota? I seem to remember that when he signed for Bulls they said he wasn`t, I know he`s qualified for Wales through a Welsh grandfather, does this make a difference?
Latu obviously got a Visa last year, so I would asume this year`s would be a formality.

| Apart from JD, all the Exempt and British passport players are just in the non fed trained bag so won't make any difference.

The EU passport holders who were in SL before the new ruling came into force are also exempt from the quota and non-fed trained regulations, that’s why Korkidas was able to sign midway through the season despite Trinity already having 10 overseas players (Henderson and JD being the exemptions)

There's a bit from JK on the situation at the bottom of this rlhttps://www.sportinglife.com/rugbyleague/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME
Doesn't sound good for Tony, hope he can get sorted somewhere.

Blanch or Obst must leaving, we are one player over the quota.
Latu has 1 more year.

Not sure the RFL have the balls to enfore the quota system.
From day one they have been changing the rules and would panic if someone challenged it.
FWIW -- I dont agree with clubs using all the loop holes they can,to get more overseas players in and constantly looking for exemptions and special dispensations for certain players.

Really hope we dont try and bend the rules (even further than already) though, they might not have the balls to enforce it, but it wont look good and wont do us any favours when it come the the next round of 'you know what'!!!

Me neither, but while ever the is some sort of regulation restricting European Union passports holders rights to work in the EU it will always be on dodgy ground and clubs will capitalise on this.
Over time it should see the exemptions diminish leaving the clubs limited to the actual quota of over seas players, whether the rules stay the same to enable this remains to be seen.

Agree, the fundamental problem being ,that clubs will always look after them selves and dont really give a to$$ about what happens on an international level to the game.
I think it was possibly Bradford that were the first out of the blocks,to challenge the quota -- with Simon Finnegan(although Bradford have always maintained it was the player that challenged the rules). As soon as one club challenged the rules, the quota system was doomed before it got going.
