| There is absolutely no bloody point keeping Kienhorst or Briscoe as one has a dodgy hamstring and he other is just sitting on his in the stands. The point of bringing them in was to provide squad cover for injuries and such, but one keeps getting injured himself and the other is nowhere near SL or championship standard. Waste of squad places IMO.

| When you look at it we gambled on him getting fit saying as he came injured and is not getting over that injury. If he could get clear of the injury he would still be handy to have as cover. As for Briscoe the lad has a lot to do to get up to super league standard.

| He had been out for 3 or 4 weeks with a hamstring injury before Sunday's game.
To bring him straight back in with his hamstring so heavily bandaged was a gamble, that didn't pay off, leaving us with 3 subs for about 55 mins.
If Sykes was fit, he should have played.
Got to have 17 fit players against ant team, never mind Saints.

You knew this, I knew this, why didn't Agar know this?

| Easy to say in hindsight. Kienhorst must have thought he was ok to play.
We made a deal to take a player when we needed one. It was to our advantage and no real gain for Leeds apart from losing the salary. If he worked out we had a possible signing as well.
When he get's injured it is hardly a good way to advertise the club to future signings to just bin him.
I'm glad the club have more about them than that,

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but to pick a player who 'thought' he was ok to play over a player who is fully fit is poor selection.
Keinhorst maybe out for another few weeks now on the back of a gamble to get him some game time.
I think Keinhorst could be a good long term signing for us if it comes off but playing him when he is not fit, will only be bad for him and how people view him as a player.

| Agar said in his interview that Keinhorst had trained well all week.
Question for physio for me - did we test him enough in training to prove how fit he was? If at all unsure then he shouldn't have been selected but if medical staff and player both say he is good to go it's hardly Agar's fault.

| I havn't seen briscoe play. Is he really as bad as you all seem to think? Its just that i seem to remember hull being pretty miffed when leeds snatched him as he was very highly rated. As i say i havn't seen him so what are his main failings?

I think I'm right in saying that no one on here has either apart from a game in preseason and a game against Wigan where everyone was bad.
There is clearly potential there as two bigger clubs than us wanted to keep and sign him.
We need to persevere if we want to get the advantage out of the deal.
I'm not the one to say whether he will be good, but it is too early to decide in my opinion, unless we decide that Riley has replaced him and we don't need the cover now.

I think the general view is that no one doubts Briscoe has potential but the feeling is that its probably to early for him to step up to the level we require.
however having watched some of Rileys efforts I am really wondering if he is any better than Briscoe.

| I have to say I've been a little disappointed by Riley.
He has more in him that we are not seeing.

Im not a hater of Lyne but he does not put himself in a position to put away his winger, not that the ball often gets thrown on to the left.

I agree there too. Riley was never going to get the sweet Collis pass was he but I've just not noticed anything good even taking the ball from deep and I have notied some defensive frailties. The pass at the weekend was high profile so will stick in the mind now.
I don't know whether we have better though. I didn't see Briscoe play so hard to tell whether he is better

| To clear up Keinhorsts injury status, he dislocated his shoulder v Salford end of last season and went to Wakey still re-habing in the pre-season. That injury has not reared it's head again thankfully. The hammy problem is a new injury since being at Wakey. Would think when fit from the hammy problem he would start in the centres for you with Collis as per first line up at Salford (I think). May not get another good spell at Rhinos if we keep the current back line and BJB. Solid player with more to give, would be a good signing I think for you longer term.
