| I would say that Tim was injured from about the 3rd minute onwards, because as soon as we scored our 1st try he came right over to the left wing limping, and stayed out of the way for the return kick off.

| Not good news that Tim's injured he could be out for the next game. But i hope they don't put Tim back on too soon, might only make it worse for us in the long run. But who is there to take his place???

| I think smith was injured before game with the amount of tape he had I before and the way he was taped up suggest it was his hamstring. Might have been worth leaving him out of this game.

| Smith's pass that put us over was superb, he will be missed but with him out and Sykes not being able to kick I think we should be giving Bobbie Goulding a go! Get him called back and lets see what he can do!

It can only help Bobbie getting in there whenever he can to keep him hungry and helping to upskill. And also for Sykes to realise that his position isn't safe. Think he might of taken his foot of the pedal a bit with I. John been gone.
With Tim was it the same leg that he had trouble with during the pre season?

| i thought during the game that we needed to get tim smith off the field. he was obviously carrying an injury and we were giving him the ball and he could not do much with it as he couldn't run, he was just catching and passing. this was hampering us as it was easy to read.
should have had him off a bit earlier with wood at scrum half. we would have to work harder (a seperate issue) to score, but we could have scored.
we need a fully fit tim smith

I could see it was your name, mate, just wasn't sure if it was a genuine account, or someone having a laugh at your expense. The "winitycats" bit threw me too. Clearly I've got a lot to learn about twitter.
Anyway, glad we've got that one sorted.

Yeah - one character can cause a whole heap of problems!
Serious point - anyone carrying knocks should NOT be playing at Saints on Friday!

With just a five day turnaround it would be prudent to rest one or two player who are carrying knocks, especially as the tough (and vital) easter period is just around the corner. A few of the guys looked off the pace yesterday, either through carrying injuries or a little bit of fatigue. The weekend in france the week before probably didn't help. I'd be tempted to make maximum use of the squad in this one, give Cowling a go in the centre, Wildie a run in the halves. Maybe even rest big Ali, he isn't getting any younger and yesterday he looked may need a rest for a week. With Leeds and Hull at home, with Cas away sandwiched in the middle, over the space of 10 days we need to be a bit cute with how we handle the guys.

| Just been down to shop at BV to get tickets for Friday, and bumped into a still-hobbling Tim Smith .. he said he is definitely out for a couple of weeks, but is hoping to be back for the Cas match...

Dislike - but much as I am looking forward to his return I would rather wait and get him close to 100% rather than him be on one leg - tempting though it is!
Want him fit for cup games this year - we can win 4 or 5 games and get to Wembley if we manage our troops!
