As usual, the silence from the club is deafening.

CCJ's do not necessarily mean financial problems, they can be a sign of a dispute where both sides refuse to budge. A few years ago I took Carphone Warehouse to the small claims court and won my case. In preparation I did some research and I ran a D+B on them and they had 100's of CCJ's against their name.

They are listed on the stock exchange and have very good financial results. I don't see anyone worrying about their financial future.

Without knowing the facts I think we should not get carried away. As Clive Dunn used to say "Don't Panic!"

Firstly to use carphone warehouse as an example,is just silly. They are part of a international group of companies, established for over 25 years, with a positive(millions and millions) balance sheet. Not a new start business with a negative balance sheet.
Secondly the dispute has already been resolved --- by the court -- we lost!!!

The facts are quite simple, weve been found against by the court in each of these matters. We could then still have avoided having the ccj registered and in the public domain,if we had then paid up within 30 days.
I dont have an issue with businesses going to court over disputes, but it is foolish in the extreme once youve been found against not to pay up within 30 days.

Yes I think Jimmy Elston once said at a meeting that the new regime would be open and honest with the fans.
Time to be just that! icon_confused.gif

Quite frankly it sickens me to see the name of our club associated with CCJ's, and dragged through the mud. It's ok moving to Newmarket but I would suggest on doing so they appoint a person competent in dealing with the financial affairs of the club.
It's all getting rather boring now and I honestly think if there was another year like last year I would quit my interest in the club.

For what it's worth I was told last Thursday that the £10000 ccj was from a well known food supplier, more to follow also. The more I hear the more worried I get.

This is something that I have pleaded for before due to my dealings with he club. I've no qualms with Jimmy and Davide working at the club, they are committed and hard working and an assett to spirit of 1873. But they are very 'green' where running a business is concerned and could really do to be a management level lower at this stage of there careers, or at least have other specialists in place to help them out. We could seriously do with someone experienced club administration, a mentor to them if you like. The investment would be worth its weight in gold. Mr Glover is only there part time, he has his own businesses to run as well and there is a real knowledge vacuum in the management team in his absence.

Sadly I keep hearing stories that do not reflect well on the club, more akin to the previous owners. It needs sorting and quickly.

I've also a feeling we haven't seen the last of them. Remember the winding up petition was just four months ago. An oversight? Believe that if you wish.

Why do the club hire boy bands no one has heard of instead of paying their bills. I'm sure there must be a logical explanation but as a fan who is very fed up by this news it doesn't make sense. Can't see them attracting enough fans to fill the ground. Seems like only yesterday we were told we wouldn't be going down this road again.

Exactly what I was thinking along with :-

(1) why they haven't priced the season tickets differently (ie higher)

(2) ceased what appears to be the continual employment of new people on the admin side of the club

(3) Paid out what will be a decent wedge for Poore etc..

Given the business is only a few years old, and effectively had a clean slate, it is a real worry that we seem to be falling back into bad habits so quickly.

Maybe the announcement that AG seemed to be hoping for yesterday was what maybe much needed investment ?

I appreciate him rescuing the club and there are some improvements from what was the case before, but as a successful business man, I am a bit suprised he is presiding over the club and seemingly allowing (or at least failing to prevent) things like this and other apparent failings to occur (and reoccur).

Time to be just that! just wondering how open would you be with financial situation, there has to be a cut off point to being honest as it could put the club more vulnerable than you think

Point taken Snowie but no info whatsoever leads to all kinds of rumour and speculation as you can see in previous posts.
Are the supporters trust being kept informed?
