| Mathers orchestrated a dignified end to the daft pitch invasion - good lad, thought he handled it well.

| What a bunch of miseries! So some youngsters want to run on the pitch and celebrate with their heroes on the last game of the season, big hook. I bet you popped the beach balls as well.

| I saw no negatives to be honest.
I'd read nothing into the Salford tries. Defence is all about putting your body on the line. In what was essentially a dead rubber would you really want that!
I don't think our defence has been too hot all season tbh and no matter what happened yesterday it is obvious that a huge effort will be required against Leeds - that said in attack we looked good without ever really breaking sweat.
So 100% effort next week in attack and defence and we have a decent chance.

Quite a few were grown men and some even middle age. Very poor form indeed. Sorry site to see some fans behaviour there. Also when these same fans came clapping crowd and raising arms along with players I found myself more reluctant to clap and cheer. I dont need encouragement to cheer my team on after match as it's a matter of course. It appeared some fans on field were trying to boost their ego big time.
Looked poor on sky when interviews were happening too.
Hopefully this doesn't happen again. I can understand that these fans may be passionate as are we all but that's not the way to show appreciation.
Anyway moving on...
I thought we had two quality 15 minute spells where we dominated both halves. The rest I thought we were poor in discipline and respecting the ball. The win was achieved though and again credit to the team despite playing below what they are capable of playing.
Plenty to work on for next week but I'm backing the team next week to go and stick it to the rhinos.
Come on wakey, 7 from 7. Top banana

| Pitch invasions are illegal. If it was our security staff (Key Security) I'm sure they would have been more physically firm with the perpetrators. If the police had been there I would happily support banging up a few of the idiots on the field.
It also ruins it for us supporters in the stand as well as the players who should have an unobstructed view for an ovation.
Apart from the idiot who pushed the steward, some plonker in a fancy dress kept trying to put his pink wig on players. Kyle Wood and the others flatly refused and indicated that they should give it a rest.
I appreciate it was a very high passioned day and some were fuelled with the amber nectar. I wonder how many of the pitch invaders (irrespective of age) are life long supporters like we are and have the same level of pride and genuine respect of our club. Anything in a negative light to our club is condemned, especially when it is caused by our own.
Further, if you watched, after the grown up idiots invaded a lot of pre-teen kids thought it was a good idea and wanted to join in. Not exactly an example to set to children who look up to adults and their behaviour.
Anyone who went onto the pitch in jubilation should show more restraint in future. You make an idiot of yourselves and leave the rest of us feeling ashamed to have you associated with our club.

What a poor point you make in condoning something not necessary. Enjoy the game but dont condone supporters who spoil it for the masses I wanted the team to come over to us and enjoy their mment of victory not surrounded by our own fans mobbing them on the pitch. I dont suppose you considered the effect on others like the match officials and the Salford supporters.

Something not necessary?
Beach balls, fancy dress, chanting, applauding - all not necessary but condemnable?
For mine, it's been arguably the most exciting season since promotion and if people get a little carried away then I can live with that. I think it shows what the win meant to some people that they actually felt the need to go on the pitch.
So for me not a problem, the players came over - we'll see them next week, whats the big deal?
As for the effect on the match officials and the Salford fans, I'm sure they are all sat at home now rocking back and forth manically in a state of deep post traumatic stress at the sight of 30 or so Wakey fans high fiving their players before retreating back to the stand.
Really, lighten up!

| 30 is a significant understatement. A large minority ruined the end to a great day for the majority. Like the people who invaded the pitch, TrinityIHC you are in the minority here on this point.
Worth asking since you defend them, were you one of them? (Be honest.)

Can't agree. A few wakey fans drifted over to the Salford stand and goaded the Salford fans who should be commended for not reacting. There were a few who had too many beers and could not handle it. These were a few on the field. Need to learn how to drink and restrain themselves.
If you'd bothered to take note it was blatantly obvious that the players felt rather uncomfortable too. This also disrupted the celebration at the end which has become an enjoyable part of theis last months servings.
Must try better I'm afraid to justify illegal (and advertised) behaviour. Chant, cheer, enjoy. Throw a beach ball about and jump up and down like a giddy little kipper if you wish but don't try and justify what went on. The fans who took the field have no more ( or less) passion than me or fans in the stand...
It's just they lack the capacity to be as sensible for whatever reason fits.

| It's illegal for a start, as has already been stated....
It reflects badly on the club at the end of the day and with all the positivity around at the moment it's not needed....
I saw a steward get knocked over and one have 3 or 4 wild punches slung at him for doing his job....if you're happy with that and think there's no issue then shame on you fella.....it's simple....if everyone stays in their seats there's no problem....as soon as the first one or two idiots go for it the rest think it's ok to do so....and with that comes possible trouble....it's certainly not needed and easily avoidable....

| And one of those stewards was female as well.
All those idiots owe those stewards a massive apology. The stewards were just doing their job. The idiots made their job unnecessarily difficult and put their safety at risk. Totally uncalled for in what is supposed to be a family game.
I don't think there is any condemnation on here of beach balls, fancy dress, having a drink and being sensible and enjoying the pleasures of following Wakefield Trinity.

you dont get it do you. A few spoilt it for the majority. After the Hull KR game the players came up to the fence and clapped the fans, they were unsure and unable to do that the same last night. Also the fans who ran on could even have put the club in danger of a warning or fine for inability to control their fans. The man who ran on first was also smoking most of the game next to a sleeping baby in pushchair and other youngsters . I did tell him what I thought of him as he came back off the pitch.

| Its illegal. It's bad for the club reputation. It's spoils it for the players. It spoils it for the fans who remain in the stands.
Can't see how you can defend that.
