Cause Leeds always get it right when releasing players don't they! take Ben Cross couldn't get a game at Leeds but ends up at Wigan and by all accounts putting in a great stint against Hull on Friday, and Luke Burgess he gets released and has had 2 excellent performances and 3 solid ones so far.
Just because Leeds release players by no means makes then rubbish / past it. Just makes the Rhinos more foolish!

I very much doubt they have it wrong on this one.
It's not whether titty is a good player or not, the fact is he will require a percentage of the wages budget way beyond what he will offer us. It's all about balancing the squad and the budget, titty would mean we couldn't sign a new hooker for instance which is something we need far far far far far far far far far far more

| I can't see much value in this one - the flash of brilliance he can add every now and then is probably outweighed by the amount of time he spends on the physio's bench and the wage he would command.
Having said that, if the transitional squad we're putting together for next season contained him on a 1 year deal and we were going in to it with our eyes wide open, it wouldn't be the worst news ever; as an impact player, he can still bust the line and add some Solomona-esque unpredictability to the attack.

Based on the way he played against us earlier on in the season he wouldn't get a game at Wigan St Judes never mind Wigan Warriors!

Cross will be no more than bit part, he has already signed for Widnes next year and looks way off the pace and Burgess was a shock but he was always going to join his brothers next year down under. It also shows that even clubs like Leeds have to be totally aware of their budgets in these times and in my view these cuts have been made because of economies of scale, like Diskin last year and the subsequent non offers of contract to Senior and Tititi you are seeing the break up of the GF winning team and high earners. Wouldn't be surprised to see more go as well Smith, Delaney, Bailey.

Didn't look to have improved massively on his Leeds performances when I saw him in a Wigan shirt last week.
I remain surprised that Wigan offered him a place for the rest of this season, I don't see that he is in any way an improvement on what they already had/have.

Who may cost just as much or if not be a gamble of a different kind?
agree about his possible wage demands but as ever it depends who else wants him and how wide his options are. Maybe demand for his services is not what he thinks it might be and he has to temper his expectations. on a purely playing basis i'd definitely take him, can't imagine our options for next year are gonna be infinite.
As for the comment about Manu I would concur however he would cost even more

Perhaps so if that were the case but I'm led to believe so it is conjecture that a number of RU clubs are interested. This usually keeps his market value high. In which case I stand by what I said. He would take to much of the playing budget for what he offers even if he does still have a year left in him. It's not personal or based on what I think of him as a player just being practical. If we have Mr Titty money available I can think of better areas to spend it.

Agreed it wouldn't be my priority position if we are to keep Mariano, Morrison, Johnson and Howarth. He does offer something different though and i enjoy watching him play
