| Out enfused tonight, I thought Leeds where not only massively up for it as you would expect but also played well and were clinical when they needed to be. We have had lots of disruption in the squad and today we simply weren't good enough, let's move on... we've come close a few times against good opp and had a tough old start to the season, I'm sure a win is just around the corner, I still have confidence in the boys and Willie.

I will be interested to see Tanginoa tackling statistics because he appeared to be taking on the Leeds middle along with Fifita, with not a lot getting through.'"
As I said, we ought to be able to...... I still say we should have been able to. We just didn't.
It was obvious where they were going to win it with no centres and Miller off too.
Tanginoa hit hard but missed a lot.
Battye ran well but kept giving the ball away.
Fifita was strongest but no one followed him.
Just a poor day at the office today.

| Credit to the players for keeping going, but the damage was done in the first half. Leeds were faster, stronger and had a clear game plan to make the most of our make shift centres. Nobody seemed to know who was taking who which resulted in nobody taking anyone.
Two rookie errors compound matters, shame for Murphy but at least his errors were not the reason we lost.

| On recruitment, if he becomes available we should do all we can to bring Andrew Fifita over.
I don’t rate Batty at all and while I understand the constraints of the budget we bought the Batty we saw at London and got something more akin to his Aunty Nora.
Yusuf still needs time, he’s young and doing great but we need to use him sparingly in selected matches or we risk knocking him backwards
Tanginoa is a back rower, I know some love to say he’s a good prop and he is but he sees himself as a back rower where he made the SL Dream Team. So when he’s consistently picked at prop it’s no wonder he’s disillusioned with his life at Trinity.
Whitbread is another who’s still young, still settling in and also on the other side of the world at the relatively young age of 23.
Aroma has always done a job wherever he’s selected but after 8 years I think we’ve seen enough to know that he’s a better 13 than he is an 8 or 10.
So back to Andrew Fifita, if he’s available and we can muster up the money then I think he’d be a huge lift for the team and the club

| The one big positive is that despite several hard hits Johnson showed no obvious signs of any problems.

| Mr Carter wants us to be positive but in return past four/five years we’ve been given shocking results in return. They said they would spend the limited money wisely and and ended up wasting it.
Everyone knew Gaskell was a sicknote and still we signed him.

| Really felt for Murphy. You could just see that he was never going to take that high ball. Nice to see the rest of the lads encouraging him after.
I doubt whether we'll see two second rowers chosen in the centres again for a long time.
At least we won the second half convincingly.

Ultimately today we had two second rows in centre, a hooker at stand off and Lino didn't look ready.
Tanginoa didn't look fit either.'"
No they wearnt your right but this was somthing said about the signings been injury prone and not been on pitch that much but as said before we have a small budget and whis knows if there was better value elsewhere.secondley how are we doing ok we lost 4 out of 4 not even led a game at any point and the corresponding fixtures we won 2 of those 4.
I said at start of season id take 11th and thats still my thought hopefully we can then start to build a better squad with again hopefully the ground improvements and new pitch bringing in some much needed revenue cos no matter what i say about the signings i think MC is still doing a great job financially.
On a positive note thought dave looked good as did kay tonight and the whole team looked fitter think 12 months ago that could of been 60.
Feel for young murphy had a shocker but he will learn from it and only become a better player for it

| Worrying performance against a side who ultimately didn't even have to do anythign special to get a 30 point first half lead. Not helped by injuries and forced changes but still that team across the board had a tonne of super league experience and NRL games. It wasn't acceptable first half. The middles were lazy in their work defensively, the halves looked like they coudln't pass, the distribution was so slow and unacceptably the basics like line speed and contact just weren't there. I've got sympathy that the centres weren't actual centres but the problems stemmed from the structures not from the personnel. Basic errors also. Somehow we ended up actually benefitting from the penalty count but the damage was already done. Second half was irrelevant really. Leeds looked like they were in first gear second half. Bit worried off that. Add to this it was a local derby on your home turf and your players never strung a set together where they really turned the screw defensively... They were either knackered (no idea why four games in) or effort levels weren't what they should be.

Why? We haven't smahsed a team up the middle for as long as I can remember. Even under Agar our strengths was our creativity of the half backs and the distributions to the edges. Same with the first seasons of Chester. We've never "smashed" anyone up the middle for the last 8 seasons.
