The fact that there has been a thread at the top of the page of this forum pretty much since April confirms that obsession. The whinging 'why didn't anyone help us' probably isn't helping either. You've got plenty to look forward to at the moment. You would think that would be of more interest, unless some fans are actually quite enjoying our plight.. who knows.'"
I don't think anyone is enjoying it mate, we are just all really ed off with the 'let them die' attitude towards us and the total opposite to you lot, it's just not fair!!!

I think most folk are just getting bored of the whole situation. We all know that there is no chance that the Bulls will go to the wall and no chance that they will not be in SL next year so all this false hysteria and hand wringing is getting a little tedious.

Obsession my arris - every board has a thread about the Bulls situation and rightly so; the shenanigans up at Odsal Top has ramifications for the entire game and the way it's handled by the governing body should be of interest to anyone who cares about the sport.
The added spice round these parts of course, is that no one gave a flying fluck when we were going to the wall; as it happens, Mr Glover did alright by us and a large number of our creditors, and we appear to be slowly rebuilding, without the outpourings of sympathy and hysteria that the Bulls seem to be benefitting from.
When is your next 'last game' by the way?

Bren, You and many others on here ,"in the know", keep repeating this over and over, just out of interest which of the 93 unsecured creditors who were owed a total of £1,280,000 did Glover re-pay?
Just asking.

Do your own research.
Back on topic: The assistance that the Bulls got from the RFL at the outset didn't bother me one bit. In fact, I supported it. Why would any RL fan want to see another club fold, local rivals or not? The RFL is there to support and protect the game, supposedly. They were doing what I'd expect any governing body to do, under the circumstances.
The longer this saga drags on, however, the more evident it becomes that there are special cases in rugby league for whom, it seems, no amount of support is enough to allow them to continue, and ultimately prosper. This sits badly with me, after our own experience, but at least I'm not a Blackpool fan.

The figure was quoted at the last audience with night, I'm sure someone will remember.

He quoted the figure at ceder court can't remember exactly but I bet it's more than the new Bradford lot re pay when they don't have to.

| If they're so blinkered that they can't see for themselves what double standards the RFL are showing then stuff 'em. I can't be d with them anymore.
It stinks but it's the RFL that should have to answer some questions at the end of all this and not Bradford. Let's face it as fans we'd probably have accepted any offers of help from the RFL, other clubs, General Public if it was offered.

Looks like an offer has been made:-
www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/18871920
Glover was never given a SL guarantee so we'll see if that'll be the same here. Glover also could not negotiate the lease with the RFL since they don't hold ours.

| Seems pretty worthless really, seeing as though the RFL have already clearly stated no guarantee will be given, and I'm sure they aren't the kind of people to go back on their word...................................

| The RFL should just tell them, in simple terms, what the penalty will be for their act of insolvency. I'm not sure how the consortium can make a decent offer unless they know what the future looks like - clearly they're not going to stump up a million quid for the ground AND take on the Bulls hefty liabilities if they're about to be hoofed out of SL.
Unless the severity of the penalty is contingent on the terms of the rescue package, which surely can't be the case, what are they hanging about for?

| To be honest I have no real problem with them continuing this current franchise period in superleague providing that they have a written guarantee from the new owners that they will provide a valid business plan confirming they will provide 'x' amount of funding per year (whatever amount is deemed necessary by the RFL) and that for the duration of the licence they will play at odsal. If the lease is sold back then it should be for no less than what was paid for it PLUS extra to cover the tax liabily from the sale. The game should in no way be out of pocket due to the mis-management of one club. If the consortium doesn't like that then tough luck and goodbye. Liquidate the club and start up a newco, building from the bottom up. The RFL have to stand their ground on this one.
