| Quote: vastman "In your opinion!
Personally I rated Blaymire, Halpenny and Prescott as better both defensively and attacking. In my opinion Blaymire was a similar player to Mathers in that he scored a fair few supporting the man with the ball - however he made way less mistakes and tackled much better, but it's just my opinion.'"
In his first 2 seasons especially I thought Blaymire was excellent

Our young un isn't ready yet, nor will he be the way my dads' carrying on, cos I'd got an extra round to do with my papers' my dad made our rocky get the coal in cos he was frightened of the neighbours' nicking it, then kicked his arris for not filling the barrow to the top and teking too long.

Who would be your choice for full back now?

| This may come back to haunt me, but Craig Hall for me would be an improvement on RM.

| I hope we aren't relying on Sammutt because I thought he had a mare at fullback last week, a natural in the halves but never a fullback.

| Don't think anyone has mentioned this but Mathers wage has been subsidised by our friends in Cas for the last two years as far as I recall. I imagine with all that's gone on in recent years that without that subsidy his wage will probably be way out of proportion with what he is actually worth in the current wage structure - no matter whether you rate him or not. Money way better spent elsewhere and far less likely to upset the players applecart. Can't blame Mathers for not taking a substantial cut if London can make up the difference.

Calm Waters don't make good sailors
If you help somebody as you go along then your life hasn't been in vain: |

| I wish Mathers all the best. It's nice he wanted to stay rather than couldn't get out of the place quick enough. It's sad for him that he couldn't stay. It's tough having lowest budget in the league and also being a coach in general. With all the best will in the world you can make poor choices or make good ones that don't end up going in your favour. Mathers has a family, wtw have a budget and you have to fashion a squad within the limits. I'm glad tough choices are being made rather than stretching it and it going financially belly up. If I had the budget Webster had I would make different choices to him as would Michael. Just like when you pick a fantasy side from the paper. But it's Websters job to make these tough decisions. He's not done too bad so far.
I will miss Mathers positivity, team spirit, quick scoots amongst other things. Maybe not his one on one tackling or occasional brain bottom burps.
I may be wrong but there will be Hall, Sammutt, Jowitt, Owen who can play full back. My preference being Hall. Looking forward to seeing him in action.
All the best Richie, you've enhanced the team and certainly been popular with your team mates. A new chapter for you and your family! Good Luck..

| Hall is a good player but he is just as prone to a cock up as Mathers if not more so. In his last game for Hull KR there he was directly responsible for two opposition tries due to his handling errors. If we go with him there it would be a big risk.
