So we've got Lyne that needs a heart
TT needs a brain
Mathers needs his courage
We should get a musical on!

Who was ordinary against HKR and got bundled into touch by Greg Eden at one point. Just for reference.
And I'm not sure I agree that Lyne is the only one who can help himself; he looks to me like a young lad who's petrified of making a mistake, and that changes his game - he doesn't go on the outside for fear of being bundled into touch, he doesn't go over the top for fear of dropping the ball and he appears to panic near the line - he missed one on Sunday because he didn't go low enough.
I have no idea what you do with a young player who's at this stage in his career - I still think he has the attributes, but I'm not sure what you do to get him to effectively employ them.

| It doesn't matter how many people help him to overcome his nerves/fright.
Ultimately it's down to Lyne to have belief in his ability.
Carney was ordinary against HKR but he backed himself to score, was probably the only thing that Eden got right on the night!

| He backed himself on the outside v Johnny Lomax and scored a great try.If he can do it once he can do it again.
Needs encouragement to go for it.
But I insist there there is much more to come.
Thats the point, he has more potential than many 'steady' threequarters, who people have insisted be included.

| What we got to take into consideration is Lyne is young, more gametime the more he'll improve albeit no world beater.

| In his last year of a 3 year contract and haven't seen enough to make him justify a new one. Unless he is on absolute peanuts.
Has been given enough game time over the past 2 seasons to make a name for himself, whilst our own have been short changed.
He may have scored a good one against Saints but how many has he turned down or missed?

Think you wrong here pal, Lynne only signed at the start of last season so you are being a bit harsh criticizing him for before he had even joined.
For what its worth I think he has potential and he has bulked up and if he cuts out the silly errors he could be a good player.
By the way he needs confidence and he aint going to get that with everyone getting on his back.

If i'm wrong about how long Lyne has been here, i will apologise.
Agar is in his third year and i believe that Lyne was signed not long after Agar arrived.

| Hull didn't want him cos he was soft , if your soft at 18 never mind 21 youl always be soft , sorry he looks the part but he's in the wrong game ,young lads who make mistakes can put it down to inexperiance and learn from them when you make the same mistakes constantly all to do with courage you've got a problem

| He has got real pace for that length of the field try against Wigan. Some of the feedback from Wigan is that he is a strong, quick lad and took some tackling the other day.

All true - he just needs to grow a pair, and fast.

| Not to knock Lynne but my biggest question is why did we sign him I feel we MUST look to our own academy more than we are doing. Last year Kay looked just as good if not better than Lynne, Jowitt played very well at Hunslet and is probably worth a run in the first team, Cowling could probably have done a similar job to Lynne. And then there's Walshaw...... Might not have pace but I'd love to see any 3/4 line stop him in full flight. To me Wakefield's biggest fault is not trusting our academy lads more, and its was a failing of more of our coaches than just Agar. If we're bringing in players they must be clearly better than those we have, or can those in our academy.
