| I said in an earlier post that it shows how far we've come in the last 18 months when I'm gutted that we didn't turn over the second best team in Super League last season .
However what struck me more than anything was just how as a club we look the real deal going forward , it felt on Thursday evening that we are a big Rugby League club ready to compete at the highest level in the comp .
I don't mean that in an entitled Rhinos way , I mean that we will compete for the silverware but with our own unique identity and I can see the club growing even more whilst retaining that unique identity we have .
I believe we have one of the most iconic sporting names in British sport , you could dispense with Wakefield and still everyone would know who Trinity are and what sport we play .
With our original founding membership of the Rugby League , our history , Belle Vue and are iconic name we are hugely marketable in the modern era who sit right in the heart of Rugby League land .
Whether we like IMG or not and it's controversial there's no doubt that we are also testament to it given the huge improvements at the club off the field .
This club is going places and you know what , the vast majority of us believe it is rather than simply hope as in the past .

| Whilst a win would have been brilliant on Thursday evening, I can honestly say that is probably the first time I have come away from Belle Vue having lost and not feeling disappointed.
To say we had half our first choice players missing due to either injury or illness, the players that came in certainly stepped up and pushed Hull KR all the way and with a bit more luck could quite easily have won that game.
Before the game kicked off I looked around at the stadium and just thought how far we have come in such a short period of time compared to where we were 3 years ago....a magnificent new East Stand, new pitch, new floodlights, new screen (with another one to come), new terracing in both North and South stands, new changing rooms, 1st class facilities for the players and supporters, new function and bar areas and, on Thursday night it was all on show for a capacity crowd of 8000 fans.....somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming

I'm with you 99% of the way but I do think that final kick from Lino just took the gloss off the evening.

That kick resulted from the missed conversion because if we had levelled the points then we would only need to set up for a one point attempt. I actually have no problem with the missed conversion it was not easy but I suppose any chance to prejudice a player you appear to not like for some reason only you have a rational for.

There was no glass taken off the evening imo.
I'm proud of everyone of the players who took part in that game. There was no weak link and like others have said we may have been defeated but there were so many positives to take from that game and I reckon DP will be the happier of the two coaches.

Hope his memory doesn't extend to the length of his bitterness towards Lino as it did against Scott Grix after his error against St Helens.

I'm a great fan of Lino and have championed him regularly throughout his time here but I just was a bit deflated by that terrible kick and would have been regardless of who's foot it came off.

There hasn't been even one other player that I can recall during our SL stay (I'll not go back previous) who arrived with a reputation as bad as Grix for brainfarts. They continued throughout his stay here. My classic memory clip of Grix is him on his knees bashing the floor with his fist as he bemoans yet another elementary error.
The chickens were always going to come home to roost.

| The Trin80 video from the HKR game is now on our social media platforms, interesting angle of the incident with Lewis's foot onto Harvey Smith's chest, wonder which angle the RFL Match Review Panel will look at ?
