| We are not looking at an hostile takeover but a necessary one which should be expedited without delay. We are still facing relegation and what will JM do if Ellis walks away because JM cannot fund the club. If he was a true supporter he would know that without the investment we are just facing stagnation both on and off the field.
We have been craving for investment, it may not bring back the glory days but it certainly gives us a fighting chance which on our current trajectory does not.

| Quote: Uptoncat "There are 3 directors. Matthew is one of them. His parents are the other 2. Do you really think he’s just thought f$€k it I’ll go buy a rugby club without speaking to the other directors first? Without them getting a sniff of it? It’s delaying tactics and hanging on by Minards it’s as simple as that. He needs to go now and let things progress. I don’t believe that he says he’s waitning to see the business plan for the club either. The RFL have been conducting due diligence they would t even entertain it if he hadn’t submitted one they’d have told him to come back when he’s serious. Again more delaying tactics and the brainwashed are falling for it hanging on to every world JM says'"
Its not a very good delaying tactic is it. They could answer his question in one meeting.
And what is there to delay. It was mentioned at the meeting that the rush to handover has in some ways gone away. He's given the money that helps us battle relegation. Its better to take the time over the takeover.
There is every likelihood that the delay is on Ellis's side so he can see whether we win on Friday. His investment is massively different based on that result.

The investment would change based on whether any investor is buying a SL club or Championship club..
Winning on Friday is certainly helpful and a further step towards securing a spot in SL.
However, beating Cas, on it's own will not secure our SL status.
In this respect, our grading with IMG is actually as important and maybe more important for any would be investor.

| His parents will surely be advising him to walk away. A month down the line and he, and possibly they too, will be the recipients of the standard vitriolic abuse.

I don't know why you bother responding to the "Mega Gammons" on here. Regardless of any sensible logical or rational opinion stated, the "Mega Gammons" word is the only opinions that counts

| Hilarious that some are now saying that due diligence is a good thing but not needed when appointing a coach on a nod and a wink

Not quite the same is it, talking £ millions here, How many coaches have bought a Super League club, with or without their parents?

| Ellis deserves credit for stumping up the cash to give us a chance of still being in the fight by financing many of the new signings. I wonder how many think that JM would have been able to do the same and what position would we be in.
I just wish we could get Ellis’s side because all we have is what the current incumbent because I have not read anything from MC is saying and then maybe the uneducated supporters and those who believe themselves to be superior will be able to make an informed decision. I just hope that we the uneducated should it happen will be able to understand all the intricacies and make up our own minds and not be like sheep and follow wherever they are told to go by the current incumbent Shepherd.

Its not just about the individual, but about the process (or lack of) surrounding the appointment. The sooner the chancers who are failing the club at board level are out of the way, the better

He does deserve some credit for that.
What he has done by doing that is take the pressure off the takeover. It doesn't have to be rushed as he has done what needs to be done this year.
I don't really know why people are so bothered for it to be rushed.
