It is possible but that is best described as an unquantifiable figure and subject to many outside influences like the weather, limited number of supporters and it being on a Friday night. The Sky money is fixed and not effected by the above.

If I remember rightly from what Carter said, we always lose out when on Sky as it isn't enough compared to the gate receipts.
And it reduces each time you are on.
So ideally, our away games are on Sky, home games are not.

| Quote: vastman "So you’re a grass/pitch expert are you.
Well you are wrong. We were scheduled to start training on the new pitch at BV in January. This is on record from the moment the old pitch was dug up FACT.
This was on the manufacturer’s say do, not a random decision by us.
We have followed their guidelines throughout end of debate.
And yet again the manufacturer was correct, pitch passes second unnecessary inspection.
Maybe if people weren’t passing on half baked nonsense like you have on this occasion (sorry you’re normally ok) we wouldn’t be having to put up with this nonsense- just a thought.'"
Funny you should say that, yes, i am. For many years in fact.
Why i'm bothering to respond i don't know but it will be my last comment on the subject as it's time to concentrate on the rugby played on it. The club were fully aware of the risks involved in going with that much loading so soon and at that time of year. They likely would have got away with it had they stuck to just the training but 5 games in about as many weeks on top during Jan/Feb is probably what did for it. Just because the theory says it could be used doesn't mean it should. It was just a decision that just didn't pay off. It happens, we move on.
The key now is to get it right as soon as for when those other interested parties come round for their look eh?

Would that still be the case though with the reduced capacity? I'd have thought the figures would probably be very similar either way.

| Anyway, more importantly can we raise a team for Friday? How's Kay's arm injury? Is Langi back, doesn't his HIA protocol finish just before? Will the (for me) unfortunate Butler ever get another run? A short turn around after a tough game and golden point isn't helfpful without much scope to rest & rotate anyone.

I don't know regarding the SKY money, but seeing as it passed I suspect SKY will have to pay.
We have not had to pay any extra as far as I'm aware for any remedial work. The pitch supplier supplied new covers as part of the ongoing process. It is still under the suppliers guarantee and as we have followed their guidance, then you work it out,
I know you are desperate to sling muck Rhubarb, but this is really poor.

RFL STATEMENT – WAKEFIELD PITCH INSPECTION
An independent consultant confirmed that the playing surface has improved significantly in the 17 days since the Huddersfield fixture on 3 March, and the RFL Board have therefore ruled that the match can go ahead as planned.
.'"
This would suggest that yesterday's inspection was carried out by people who were responsible for the inspection "17 days" previous and passed it OK. Why was there any suggestion that 17 days later it would be anything other than "significantly improved"
Some dick at Sky created a drama that Hull KR were happy to ride on.

Now then, you've got me wondering who you might be. Banging bass line. Banging tune. Banging album.
