And Kasiano and Dudson too.

| Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "That is not a sustainable business plan for any company certainly not one in the entertainment business during a cost of living crisis. We don’t even help ourselves by marketing the game or trying to generate some positive news. We have probably one of the highest match day tickets and I dread to think what we charge for a pint compared to a pub away from the ground. If you look at the Wakefield Trinity app it contents mainly reflect the ladies team which is fine but the first team news should take precedence.
The bad news of course is that these appear to be the good times before we start to repay a loan which I guess will be part funded by a reduced wage bill.'"
it's not fine by me that the ladies section now seems to dominate the Trinity website - I have nothing at all against ladies playing rugby, though I would never watch it, and the two should have separate sections IMO.
Regarding the loan repayment, we don't know the terms of the repayment - your guess may be wrong of course!

| Quote: Travelling Wilbury "Out of curiosity, when did Ken Davy take over at Huddersfield.
They were relegated in 2001, and came back much stronger.
I know he's ban rolled them, but I wouldn't say that happened too much in the early years of them returning to super league.
If one thing, it would be a good way to get rid of the dead wood, and re build, both potentially on and off the pitch.
The main problem, is, would we have the finances, to strengthen, when needed'"
It would be an enforced way of personnel change, I agree in some cases for the better.
Isn't there going to be the proposed SL 1 and SL2 starting soon anyway? I've been an advocate for a long time of bringing potential SL teams together to form another competitive league, which if marketed properly could be a crowd puller in itself. Hopefully we stay in SL1 but to be honest, as long as the club were competitive in 1 or 2 I would still support them, as I did through many dreary years back in the 80's!

Didn't they also benefit financially from the proposed 'merger' with Sheffield - which never happened?

| Are we judging a player based on one appearance.
Seen some of our props in the past 2-3 go a full stint, without taking the ball up

| You won’t get many offloads away if that’s the case. It’s the future not the past that relates to what we need now. We need impact.
Thanks Fordy. Any idea how many minutes both did?

Well if you wanted to make a good first impression you’d do a bit more! Think another player hit the nail on the head with Butler, he seems to be another cheap signing.

You seem to have omitted our completion rate we gave Leeds way too much ball. DF got a few drives in as an early receiver why not give a new signing a chance when we respect our possession. I don't recall him giving any possession away

| Got to give Butler a chance!!!! The poor lad has only just turned 24 I believe, had is career massively halted due to covid as he went back down to champ with broncos for a year before signing for Warrington, and although all games and players where effected by Covid, SL essentially continued and the Champ was called off completely. He then went from a year of not playing to signing for Warrington and has only played handful of games for Warrington over the course of 18 months…. Let him settle in, have a few run outs and find his form…. hopefully soon we’ll see the Rob Butler that caused some chaos for oppositions when he was at Broncos and played well enough to get in the England knights squad! Those stats from the Leeds game may not be the best, but looks like he was defensively sound to me and as mentioned above about the completion rate - can’t make carries when the ball is consistently dropped and handed over….

| If people are expecting Josh Papalii or Payne Haas to pull up in a taxi at Belle Vue anytime soon to get us out of the brown stuff I’m afraid your in for disappointment ,but moving forwards and listening to big Dave’s podcast there may be some wiggle room for his brother making it next season if we can steer the ship away from the edge of the abyss this season. . Not what most want to hear at present I know ,but I think that’s as good as it’s going to get short term on a big named signing and something to ponder away from the depressing reality of being a WT supporter .

| According to twitter last night, big clearout coming.
If true or not, I don't know, and if it is, there were no names brandished about.
Worked well for us when Brian Smith did it

No point in having a clear out if we are still left with the past it players on too longer contracts .Think it will be the players who have carried the team for years .I mean the real S L players in the team
