Avenger you may have a point but this isn’t on because it’s an unfair contest. MC corrected me, I accept it because I have to believe he knows more than I do, you should do the same. You simply can’t be privy to what MC is and worse still you do now look more and more like your attempting to bully a man who has one arm tied behind his back.
Personally I’ve never really agreed with him coming on here because of exactly this. However because he’s up front as to who he is then I believe we owe him some leeway. My advice is drop it as it's doing Rocky and the club no favours, and ditto MC.
MC has saved the club, he’s had a good run but now the tough times are back and imo he deserves our support. He’s not above criticism especially if he chooses to post on here, but he does deserve some understanding, he’s clearly trying or why would he even bother coming on here?
Just my opinion by the way so feel free to ignore, most do
I’m not going to get back into this other than to say at no point did anything I said amount to bullying. I thought both sides were pretty respectful in their comments.
I merely believe that nothing should be said on a forum about ongoing contract talks because it’s only a snapshot of one side and is wide open to be misinterpreted. Better to say nothing and keep it behind closed doors, fans will get to know what they need to know eventually

| One of the most disruptive forces in a team whatever their career is talking about your salary, your paid for what your ability is worth if the offer is acceptable get it signed, if it isn't and you get no increase then move on its that simple.
I want rocky to sign but I don't want to see him at full back, he's being wasted there

| Biggest scourge on any professional sport today is the arrival on the scene of so-called "Agents". They're bothered about one thing, and one thing only............their own pockets!!!!
What was wrong with discussing a player's signing on fees and wages with his mam and dad!!!!!! It worked in the past.

| Short of signing a convicted rapist or similar I can’t see a time I’d refuse to renew my season ticket. Brett Ferres might be a unpleasant man, you could probably comfortably describe him as a bit of a prick but we’ve signed plenty of them before without people having the need to chuck a wobbler. Pleased we’re not signing him but wouldn’t make me walk away if we did.

Solomona was absolute class.
He was pal, sol was amazing
I’ve never seen defenders so utterly confused round a player because he could and would do anything with the ball, he was utter class
Lol he never became the new sol, was it his uncle steve that said that? I forget.....
In fairness to ferres he has being a good SL player
This season n last being poor but he’s had a lot of injuries
I do still enjoying calling him solomonas boot boy though
He always laughs
Deep down you know he hates it though lol

At the mo I’d take some one from death row to play if it helped us win

| Agents are the scourge of the Earth in some respects- many aren’t really looking out for the player just looking at the size of their cut- but SMTM do seem to be better than most at looking after their players.
For a player It’s a short career and they come away from that career in their mid 30s with bodies that need procedures usually only carried out on 70 year olds. It’s a job- and much as fans usually only have one loyalty to one club, it’s unlikely fans show that same loyalty to their own employer when it comes to getting a better salary for doing the same thing!
Very very poor form owners discussing contract negotiations on a fans forum.
Imagine the clubs response if the player did this.
Would imagine if the lad sees that it will help make up his mind. Cheers.

| Back in the day Brett Ferres was probably the forwards equivalent of Greg Eden. Plenty of positive input but always prone to the regular brain fart. Last couple of seasons though he is just a liability to his team.
Remember Ferres, Rooney and Atkins, as Trinity players, all winning man of the match awards in three separate games for England in a tournament against the likes of Fiji, Samoa and somewhere else over that way.

Agree re agents.
as far as players having short careers is concerned, it isn't a career at all is it, it something they know from the start off is a short term fling with a sport they love.
In one respect they are very lucky to be paid for doing something they love, but they surely know from the outset it's not for life! The smart ones prepare for life after RL, so that - 'it's a short career, grab what you can while you can' - doesn't wash with me. lots of people have to changes careers and get on with it.
As for discussing contracts on this forum, I don't think any details have been given to cause concern from anyone including MC.
Frankly, I'm a bit bored now with will he sign won't he sign. I'd like him to, but if he doesn't we will move on won't we.

| I’d love to know how you all know so much about agents, the job they do and their motives. You’d be surprised what some have done for their clients. This isn’t football where an agent gets a cut of massive transfer fees and the like. Yes there’s some money involved, would you work for free? However the money isn’t massive amounts at all.

There's money in drug dealing and people trafficking but most people prefer to earn an honest crust.
