One who the feck cares so long as we get it.
Two what the hell have you ever contributed, I know all the main contributors to the fight and you ain’t one of them!
Let’s get this straight it’s a community stadium for all, without that we don’t have any moral right to council support - can you not understand that? So long as we are the main tennant then we will have what we want. It is not and never will be Trinity’s stadium it belongs to the whole city including Cas, Fev and Wakefield United whoever they are - again do you understand that.
You above all other posters on here constantly seem to not get what this is all about despite numerous people telling you

| A community stadium is for the community of which we are simply a part.
No one will back us with that kind of attitude.

Sadly I think you’re wasting your breath Vasty. Unfortunately the “community” element will always be lost on some (it’s not just wakey fans either).

I’ve raised this before PT & still don’t understand the “under selling” of the community facilities/elements of the whole development. It’s every single resident of the whole district that is being stiffed, whether they’ll use the facilities or not.

I know. Over the years my views have softened and now I’d love nothing more than Cas and Wakey sharing so long as it was truly neutral ground for both with Fev acting as a secondary stadium for them as well as the local game. Obviously Fev could use the Stadium if they should require a bigger venue or make SL.
Modern methods would easily allow three clubs to use on ground for main games. It’s all there but petty rivalries, bent or unimaginative politicians and a filthy developer and their cronies simply won’t let it happen.
Our glorious England

| If I remember correctly, the Secretary of State implied it would be a community stadium, with Wakefield Trinity as anchor tenants.

Correct but the keyword is tenant. Like all tenants we never own it but so long as we pay our rent we get to live in it. However although we are the key tenant we will have to accept lodgers, that’s how the deal works. Without that we have no more right to public money than anyone else ie none at all.
It’s a trade off and we mustn’t forget that.

The petition, that massively helped secure the green light for the NM development was signed by several thousand "non Trinity" folk, who wanted to see a Community Stadium and facilities built for the people of Wakefield.
It certainly wasn't (and isn't) just about Wakefield Trinity.

There is only one issue: the best way to secure a stadium. In our case, that means having a community stadium that is available for use by Wakefield United or anyone else able to use it. Our only stipulation appears to be that we are allowed to keep the receipts of all game-day income, as that is the only way to grow.
Or we could make a stand on a point of principle, that it is our fight so our stadium, and look forward to Championship rugby in Dewsbury.
