| I will say again why is Rodney doing this? If he thinks anyone believes what he is saying he needs to give his head a shake!!!!! He has been with the trust for years and nothing has happened, he now expects people to believe because he wants to start up a new trust it will suddenly happen! It's just a trick AGAIN so York court can get MORE land!!!
Why do we have to have people playing games with the future of OUR club... fed up of the *****

I'm just gonna refer to my earlier post about what any Stadium needs to deliver and wait and see what happens next!
Clearly SRW's track record does not stand scrutiny, and this maybe his genuine attempt at redemption - in which case it's just arrogance to place himself above the Trust that he headed up and that he controlled the appointments of the directors.

| This sound like where we were all those years ago.
"Give us planning permission and we'll build you a stadium".
If there is a new stadium involved, which would be great, the deal needs setting in stone and not relying on the anyones word.
Also, what was the problem with the previous trust.
There is an implication that SRW was not happy with one or more them, which is a worry, as they all seemed to want what was best for Trinity.

| Empty words as far as I'm concerned. He's had years to deliver and the only thing he has is a great big white box that can be seen for miles. He has provided an out for the developer to drag this on for another 10 years or so. I may be proved wrong but this is truly depressing.

What alternative, all he's offering is a get out for Yorkcourt - whatever he's up to it's only for the benefit of one person Sir always makes me laugh that bit Rodney Walker.

| Maybe it's time to stop moaning on this forum (yes i know ironic from me) and start protesting outside the town hall, starting putting posters such as WDMC are crooks all across the city. Challenge Box day in day out for months and not for a couple of weeks.

| Although I'm cautiously optimistic, because there does seem to be a renewed intent, I hope the planning stuff for a new site is watertight. Give Yorkcourt somewhere new to build, and they might start building there and avoid any trigger point at Newmarket.
I do wonder whether egos are now dictating this. Box might be of a certain age where he's thinking now of his legacy, and what better legacy can there be for getting Wakey the new ground at last.
I do wonder if the ground is at a new site. I can't see the complex being talked about being suitable for the current Newmarket site. A trip out to the new warehousing complex for a meal and a shop doesn't sound the best offer to your nearest and dearest.

| Quote: wtid71 "How utterly depressing is this stadium situation. Seeing the sudden interest in our club by prospective local MP's a couple of weeks ago clearly only there to gain a few extra votes. Seeing Box's sickly performance first hand at the council meeting a couple of months ago all to take the heat away from him when angry momentum was building amongst Trinity fans. Travelling to away games in recent months and being depressed about our situation whilst seeing stadiums such as Leigh, Salford & Warrington to name but a few all adding such value to their local communities and rugby league supporters.
What makes it all even more depressing is that I couldn't be happier with the way the boys are playing this season, the way the club is being run by an honest & loyal team of people, the new merchandise and rebranding and our fantastic league position.
What a bitter sweet season.'"
I couldn't put it any better. We all need to renew momentum on the protests I feel. I am not sure the best way to take this forward but I will take advice from those of you who have worked on the project directly. What do we do now? Where do we go from here?

| “I have no more wish than to give credit to the supporter groups for staying with this project and it’s the least they deserve. That’s why I have decided to invite two representatives from the supporters group to join the new Trust."
I'd like to know who the "lucky" couple are?

I'm guessing the ones from whom Rodney detected the most Rod-love.
