| Quote: Redscat "It's deja-vu, I recall that this happened round about 1963/64 when the old Bradford Northern died and a new Bradford Northern was created. I believe Wakefield Trinity were very kind to the club in getting them back on their feet by releasing Ian Brooke to them.
I've no sympathy for the Bulls or their staff. Just how many times can this be allowed to happen? If their fans are that keen to watch RL there are six clubs within ten miles of Bradford who would welcome their support.
Having just watched the sycophantic report on Calendar I feel like vomiting!!!'"
I'm sad for the game and their fans rather than the club really. The potential of Bradford was/is massive. I know they spent chasing the dream, but some huge crowds in the SL era, used to rival Wigan v Saints as best attended.

| This outcome is exactly why other fans get so angry towards the Bulls and take their frustrations out of their fans when clearly the problem is with the crooked RFL. I make no wonder that York are kicking up a fuss

Can't do anything else.
They have made a rod for their own back, when they bought Odsal.
Won't get much rent back in Championship 1!

| Just thinking -12 points could actually relegate Bradford to champ 1 that could put rfl into a difficult position, no rent

I'm pretty sure that's not correct and they're getting confused between the Lease that the RFL bought in 2012 and the ownership of the whole of Odsal, which still belongs to Bradford Council.
rlhttp://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/9490230.RFL_s_surprise_swoop_to_buy_Odsal_Stadium/rl
It says in this article- Quote: Angelic Cynic "“We have sold them our lease for a capital sum and then we have entered into a new agreement to rent the ground back from them. '"
Quote: Angelic Cynic "Bradford Council leader Ian Greenwood told the Telegraph & Argus that the authority had not benefited financially from the deal and that is was simply a matter of their permission being sought for the handover due to them being the freeholder. '"
Also if you go to Wikipedia for Odsal Stadium it says the same there. Quote: Angelic Cynic "https

Oldham just stayed up with 20 points from 30 games last year. Given Bradford will have a 12 point deduction, a hastily put together squad without pretty much all its best players it is a tough ask given that they have 3 likely defeats against a probably dominant Hull KR side to come as well. Effectively they have to win 9 out of the remaining games just to get to zero. So overall they'll likely need 19 wins from 27 games to have a chance of staying up, which includes tough games against the other fulltime clubs London & Toulouse, especially away from home. I think they'll find themselves in championship 1, just in 2018 rather than next season.

| Yes and with each loss more and more fans will drift away.
In their crooked ineptitude, the RFL are probably doing the new Bradford club a massive disservice in not making them start afresh in League 1.

| They should definately have been relagated and revert to a part time playing squad.
For me this isnt a biased view it is with an air of common sense.
There is a definate possibility that they could end up been relegated at the end of the season following tge deduction.
Also with them been in the same division of some full time clubs who are spending their cap, such as Hull KR and London, there could be that temptation there again to spend, and spend big just to compete, and they dont have the finance, which is what put them there in the first place and more than once.
Also, dropping down, and on a part time budget, this will help the club try to re build from scratch, which is what they need to do.
I also think that this could and should be a wake up call to the RFL in regards to the Salary Cap. Some Super League Chairmen I think want it increasing, it has recently been increased in the Championship, but at what cost?

| Find it hard to have any sympathy, I remember how they tapped up Solomona and Semi Tadulala, how they funded Solomona case against us for his wages when he has signed for Bradford in September but wanted us to pay him until end of November. How they arrogantly raided Wakefield for junior players. They whole attitude was so arrogant, they had no care for RL or other clubs, they were built on wind and psh. So I actually think the game would be better off without them.
