It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

| After driving all the way from East Yorkshire to watch that today I am struggling to justify how any of them deserve the shirt they wore today. (Sorry to upset any of those who've had a go at him in the past but Owen was one of our better performers today - IMHO).
As I watched the players gathered under the sticks I thought about my 30+ years of following the club. When the team has struggled in the past, fought against or even suffered relegation they never had the potential and unique skills to match the team that played today. That really hurts as a life long fan. They are clearly not putting the effort in and a fair few fans voiced that to them today. They can perform better and have shown us that in the not so distant past.
I genuinely think all the players and coach owe an apology to all of us who went today and paid to watch that shambles. Our support is why the club exists, we deserve some passion on the pitch from our team.
I'm now sick of Webster's excuses, they don't wash anymore. The team aren't playing for him or for each other.
After the Hull/Widnes game last night Lee Radford explained on the radio how he is struggling to get a full team together. He also said that if he'd been losing games by 40+ each week then he would have walked.
Last Monday after our game at Headingley, McDermott on Radio Leeds said how he'd had squad issues too and had to blood some inexperienced players.
I accept we have the lowest player budget in SL. However we all know what those names on the teamsheet can do when they put their minds to it.
All those unforced errors today (foot in touch by Kirmond, kick out on the full, unnecessary offloads etc) were woeful and creates unnecessary pressure.
The idea of saving ourselves just for the Middle 8 worries me a lot now. It is a massive gamble which is likely to back fire. We can't consistently perform for 7 matches in a row. One or two key injuries early into the middle 8 then we are up a creek. Also you can't just switch form on and off like it is a tap. Form develops over time.
How we are going to hit form I don't know. The defence is the worst in SL by a long way. Our attacking structure is non-existent. It was dull, predictable passing. No set moves or movement in the line off the ball. We struggled at times to have anyone to run onto a pass.
Where we go from here I'm not sure. Carter says we have no money which I accept. Keep things as they are and we'll have less because people won't pay to watch that. Home crowds of 2,000 could be a possibility in the next few weeks. Then it is a downward spiral we may never get out of.
I know we can't afford to sack Webster. Yet why have the team stopped performing for him and why is he so sure we can hit form in the 8's? We need a defensive coach and quick. Also a tactician and some help on fitness can't do any harm.

If I was short sighted I could become a referee!: |
|
| The question has to be asked..would you rather watch a team in super-league getting beat by 80 points every week full of journeymen or a competitive team of mostly local lads in the championship?

| The latter for me if its a choice of only the two options.
If nothing matters but the playoffs after round 23 then what sort of team is he putting out against Halifax on Friday? The Under 19's? A run in the cup would give confidence to the squad and most importantly the paying public!
I can't believe there hasn't been an official apology for that disgraceful performance by the coach.
A championship team like Dewsbury wouldn't have been beaten by 80 by Warrington today. My god what an embarrassment.
I also really do not understand how with decent rehabilitation techniques that Kirke and Molloy are still injured having played 1 game each in the last 6 months! Webster said 2/3 weeks ago that Kirke was a couple of weeks away from playing but still no sign when it's needed most against a very big powerful Warrington pack even if he comes as interchange off the bench.
Is there no money for loan players? If it's not that then why were we not trying to get a couple of genuine props in for cover as Hand was injured and already gone back to St.Helens? Griffin is predominantly a second row playing prop.
Cox has gone to Giants on loan this week and would have been a very useful acquisition if he'd been willing to come to lowly Trinity.
If the club gets through this season there is a real need for a massive clear out. There is too much dead wood being carried at the club both playing and coaching staff in my eyes. (Injury prone players, Poor Physio, ineffective defensive coach if one exists!).
Who comes in? I don't know but I'm just a very concerned fan ......a qualified experienced coach who is a good motivator would be a start. Instead of making excuses all the time about playing injuries and wait till after week 23...not an original plan as he sent Molloy to Sheffield where he got injured instead of keeping him with the squad fit.
If he doesn't have players to train or coach then get some in on loan and from under 19's at least then Webster is working for a living coaching them on the training field. If he can't coach them what is he doing with them all week watching videos? This one will be a real horror show for them to view.

| If the touch judge had seen the Wires winger put his foot into touch for one of the first half tries it would've been a different outcome

| Quote: Theboyem "Agree Sammut hasn't been blameless this last couple of weeks but it was Millers pass picked off for the interception today and he also went awol for a couple of their tries, although wasn't alone there. Our right hand defence was like a revolving door. I just think the Miller thing hasn't worked and its time to try something else with Sammit been the obvious choice. If he doesn't take it then, so be it.
As for poor body language this seems to be an epidemic within the team. The spirit seems to have disintigrated and this is a major worry as now is the time that agents are in full swing in talks with clubs. Its one more reason for a player out of contract like McShane or Smith to think sod it and move on.'"
it was sammuts pass for interception actually..it was sammut who missed tackles for first 2 tries..it was sammut who kicked directly in to touch from restart twice! miller actually went ok as did owen, our defence out wide leaves both wingers open..it is aweful, feel sorry for riley and owen. no team should concede 68 points in 58 minutes! i am beginning to wonder if there are deeper issues? anyway due to being at the other side of the ground to the wakey fans i got some sun on my head!

Neither, I'm not particular where they come from so long as we are in SL playing good solid rugby with pride and passion for the club, oh and winning the odd dozen games'.

Are the deeper issues financial? Is there money to pay the players? Are some players genuinely injured which is why they are missing?
Trinity have 'really toughened up the middle' (Webster pre season) this season haven't they with injury prone journeymen players....shame Raleigh had to retire.

Judging by the regular announcements that the phone lines are not working at bellvue are we struggling to pay the bills. ???

Just as a matter of interest Simon Wray the physio, only works for the club on a part time basis, and fwiw puts nearly as much time in unpaid.

Apologies it was Sammut with the intercept. Still think he would offer more threat than Miller alongside Smith though. He ain't a fullback, we know that from last year. We can't get much worse, why not give ut a go?

And if the team could be bothered to put a shift in, quite a few of the other 13 tries wouldn't have happened either.
