Rumour going round this evening is that parts of Belle Vue have failed a safety inspection and theres a hefty bill to put it right. Hopefully it is one of those rumours that is either wrong or greatly embellished.

At a guess it would be the terracing on the North Bank if anything were not to pass a safety inspection. I'm sure MC will confirm or deny though, but it may explain his hacked off mood yesterday.

We will see if any areas are cordoned off on Sunday to see if that's true.

I'm under the impression that everyone, including Giants fans will be down the East side for this match unless crowd size dictates they open other areas of the ground

The smoking ban has been in force since 2006. The club could have (and should have) enforced the ban in the stadium way back then. In all fairness smokers should count themselves lucky they have been able to smoke in the ground for the last 7 years. The ban is now in force, deal with it.
