It was the only way we could get players at the club at the time. A player wouldn't sign for a club with no head coach unless the £££ looked good.
There's no way of knowing if it would have been better waiting for RA to be appointed before going for players. We could have done better, but we could have ended up with half a squad. I think the club were correct to do what they did. |

The thing about Mellars though is I don't even remember him as a player for Crusaders. Crusaders had plently of players who looked good and who have subsequently signed for other Super League clubs. Mellars wasn't one of them.
When we announced the signing I thought Vince who?

If you manage to get your mush round 17 in the next 46 days then your pie eating record will be the same as Mellars try scoring record for Crusaders |
